Autumn Brew Review 2008
Pour is dark brown with literally no head. Very oaky flavor with some vanilla, sugar from the belgian aspect, and toffee. Rich flavor but well undercarbonated. Unique flavor, but underwhelming overall.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Special tapping on draught during mid-afternoon at ABR ’08 in Minneapolis, MN. Pours a Hazy dark amber brew with a fast dissolving off-white head that dissipates clean and no lacing. Aroma of caramel malt, a touch of bourbon character, vanilla, oak, and some fruit. Taste is medium to full bodied, a little thick in texture with flavors of toasted caramel malt, some oak and vanilla. Finish has a slight smokey aftertaste with a mild alcohol warmth that slowly disappears. The six months of aging has done some nice work to make this a smooth strong drinking ale.

Autumn Brew Review 2008. My first from this new brewery. Dark brown color with a thin head. Aroma of oak, very light vanilla and dark malt. Deep and heavy malt flavor. Lightly smokey, some yeast and even a little bourbon, though I’m pretty sure this is not bourbon barrel aged. Really nice.
