fiulijn (15770) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUL 3, 2014
Bottle from Viti, Vancouver
Brown color, hazy, bright, with small head. Candi sugar and caramel aroma; light vanilla, wood. Lean mouthfeel; the caramel flavor is stale, there is a nutty touch, pretty sweet, with very low bitterness. Warming alcohol.
Appeals to sweet beer lovers. But it has a stale feeling.

Oakes (13138) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 22, 2014
Amber-red, hazy, aroma is very sweet with an overwhelming crystal malt. Heavy, syrupy, chewy mess, alcohol in the end, touch if fudgey malts. Not awful or anything but a rather pointless exercise.

Lagerboy (1444) - British Columbia, CANADA - NOV 20, 2013
Bomber. Clear dark copper, substantial creamy off-white head settles quickly and fades. Sweet roasted malt aroma, a whiff of chocolate. Rich sweet malt taste, some milk chocolate and nuts, very faint hint of spicy herbal hop bitterness. Soft carbonation, light-medium bodied, low hopped. ABV is very well hidden. NFL (Not For Lagerboys)

Ferris (6583) - Burnaby, British Columbia, CANADA - SEP 22, 2013
Bottle - Bread, malts and a bit of toffee and apricot. Dark clear amber with a nice beige head. Biscuit, some fruit esters and a grainy sweet finish. Nice body, but flavor is a bit on the dull side.

On tap @Lighhousebeer. Cloudy copper with very little head. Lots of biscuity/bready malt; pistacchios (yup) and dark fruits (uh huh). Malt-forward and booze-heavy. Warm, dry, very mildly sweet and loveable.

Bomber. Deep copper, thin head. Very malt-centric strong ale, biscuit and caramel mix with the berry hops on the nose, lots of nuttiness comes through in the flavour and finish. Mouthfeel is smooth, lightly carbonated. If you’re expecting hops you’ll be disappointed, if you’re prepared for malt I think this suits the bill.

RumRunner101 (839) - Alberta, CANADA - AUG 24, 2013
Deep amber pour with a white head. Aroma is bready malts, some sweetness comes through and light dark fruits. The flavour is the same as the aroma, coming across a little sweet and boozy on the finish.

Deep amber with small head. Pretty substantial malt. A bit of booze and a dry finish. Doesn’t do much for me.

650 ml bottle. Pours a mahogany color with light head. Aromas of hay, biscuits, toasted malts and brown sugar. Flavors of alcohol, biscuits and nuts. Acidic. Expecting more.
