3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Papsoe (22896) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - FEB 23, 2008
(Bottle 50 cl) Clear, pale, amber golden with a small, off-white head. Aroma of mash and nuts. Medium body with a fairly solid malt base with dry notes of British hops. Very quaffable with lots of flavours especially considering the low alcohol. 200208
2.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 Plimmer (251) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - FEB 2, 2008
Tasted in New Zealand. Nice amber colored. Pretty neutral aroma. Plenty of hops in the aftertaste. Small head.
3.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 bozoNZ (668) - Christchurch, NEW ZEALAND - FEB 9, 2007
2l riggor from brewery. Bright copper. Full soapy head. Little aroma, bready as it warms.Full bitter up front. Char almost chocolate but only when warm. Buscuity mid with a mealy, fresh bread type finish. Big dry full in-your-nose typr bitter. Nice to have this as opposed to a std kiwi brown draught..!
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 omhper (15942) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - FEB 9, 2006
Bottled. Nut brown, lightly hazy, average head. Orangey nose. Medium sweet and medium bodied. Firm but bold malt profile, fairly well hopped. Lingering resiny finish. Doesn’t really take off.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Linc (736) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - SEP 22, 2005
Nice pale beer with excellent hop balance. Slight tannic flavours detract from what is otherwise a great summer brew.
1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 beerledgend (1050) - Waterloo, Wellington, NEW ZEALAND - JUN 27, 2005
Dark strwa in colour with creamy white head, which is small. Probably not the best brew from this brewery, disapointing compared to thier pilsner. Hoppy taste with dry taste.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 yalnikim (800) - Wellington, NEW ZEALAND - JUN 19, 2005
Tasted 19/06/2005. 500ml bottle from Regional’s, Wellington.
Yellow gold, bright, with only the slightest yeast residue stuck to the bottom of the bottle. Disappearing, pure white, head. Aroma, which is far more subtle than I expected - given the name, is of grain, oranges and wood (maris otter and fuggles?). Lightweight mouthfeel delivers a dry flavour with a nice balance of malt sweetness and a vinous, woody, fuggle bitterness. Leans slightly to the hoppy bitterness. Clean finish. Subtle beer with a bold name.
