2.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 Jimthechap (1195) - Christchurch, NEW ZEALAND - JAN 3, 2012
From rumaging through my old tasting notes: pours clear yellow-gold with a white top that sank into the glass. Aromas tend toward citrus with a whiff of classic German hops giving a rounded almost musty basement aroma. Tastes lemon citrus and almost creamy, quenching but not memorable. Perfect hot weather beer.

(Bottle 50 cl) Clear, pale golden with a small, rough head. Very fresh, floral aroma. Medium body with a good and clean malt nose and dry, floral hop accents leaving a short bitterness. Lovely and well composed. 010208

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 13/20 omhper (17458) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - FEB 9, 2006
Bottled. Clear pale yellow, really firm head. Light orangey nose. Dryish with soft, creamy mouthfeel and a gentle, lightly buttery malt character. There’s a touch of mango, but it’s fairly lightly hopped, and doesn’t have much bitterness. A well made lager beer, more a fresh, juicy variety of a dortmunder than a pilsener.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 yalnikim (800) - Wellington, NEW ZEALAND - JUN 19, 2005
Tasted 18/06/2005. 500ml bottle from Regional’s, Wellington.
Pale gold. Bright. Thin, pure white, head. Nice aroma of honey-like malt and fruity hops that hint guava and melon underneath the lemon dominance. Flavour is definitely hop-driven - dry, lemony and slight pepper notes. Strong bitterness. A very nice palate cleanser, not my type of session beer.

High hoppy aroma, clear gold colour, big white head, nice bitter taste.
A classic bitter Pilsner.

more like an APA than anything - citric, passionfruity hops are about all there is, the malt is flat and cardboardy. some vanilla and pepper in finish helps the score a bit. too fruity for a pilsener, but not bad all the same. sort of like st arnou pils. some intriguing formic acid in there as well - reminds me of one of my first homebrews 6 years ago when ants got into my pilsener.
