Pours black with a brown head that diminishes quickly. Aromas of roasted malt, coffee, slight sweetness. Body is smooth, but light, and the carbonation is slightly biting. Roasted malt flavours, espresso and vanilla. Finish is dark chocolate and roasty with a slight bitterness. I enjoyed this one. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Dark brown pour with small beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, slight hops, some earthy tones. Taste of roasted malts, slight burnt chocolates, faint hops. Fizzy carbonation, thin mouthfeel and faint bitter finish.

Pours a very dark brown with a little bit of light shining through and a small beige ring around the glass. Aroma is black licorice, roasted malt, and chocolate. Flavour is black licorice, roasted malts coffee flavour + dryness, and dark chocolate.

Bottle, shared with my wife. Dark brown, tan head. Nice profile of roaste and chocolate, medium sweetness, dry finish. Good balance, nice stout.

Bottle - Roasted malts, chocolate and a little anise. Jet black with a thin head. Roasted malts and light chocolate. Very mild and thin, quite refreshing for a stout.

UPDATED: NOV 1, 2014 A decent stout from one of the more overlooked BC breweries living in the shadow of Phillips and its hoppy monopoly. Kind of like a light version of an imperial stout in flavor - smoky, bitter, molasses taste. Semi-bitter finish. Appearance has little head, deep black/brown in colour. Not bad, but a little too dark for me. If you like this, give Okanagan Springs Porter a try.

Bottle. 5.1%. Dark, dark brownish copper poor with a weak tan foam that bubbles away super quickly. Aroma is roasted malts, coffee, and caramel. Taste is roast malts, with a hint of caramel sweetness. Overloaded with toasted malt and bitterness, not quite the balance I was looking for. Still a good canadian stout.

Strong initial aroma of roasted malt. Very nicely done. But the beer doesn’t quite follow through on the aftertaste, with a light palate and weak leave. Pours black with good initial mocha head and some lacing. Finish is a little bitter and a little sour. Palate too much on the watery side. Bottle from my dad’s fridge.

Pretty much a black body with a tall rocky cap floating on top. Lighter aroma for a stout, roasted malts, liquorish, very mild coffee, I do hit banana and it ends with sour pennies. Light dry chalky chocolate served in a bar ashtray........... that sounds bad but I mean it in a good way kind of. Sweetness and fruit show up when room temp. DAM YOU VBS!!!! you say lime now that’s all I taste. Like all Lighthouse brews this is completely drinkable but falls short compared to others of the same style.

Near black brew, thick pillowy dark brown cap, wonderful silty lacing. Nice soft lightly roasted almond aroma, choco, nice roasted malts. Simple and solid. Hearty drinking beer. Long lingering malts, zippy something, mild fruit, lime, oatmeal, choco hiding, ya. Smooth, solid roast finish. Decent.
