Slightly blond and cloudy. For $10 for a six pack in Vancouver, the quality of this stuff is acceptable. Hints of honey...

I love most things that Lighthouse puts out, but this is an absolute flop. I would rank this with the Lucky Lagers and Boxer beers of the world. Can 5% weak yellow pour, frothy white head. Adjunct-laden, boring, macro swill type lager. Sorry.

On tap. One thing to be said about lagers is they’re usually easy to drink... this one wasn’t. Sour apple and malt aroma and taste, dry finish. Pretty high carbonation. No more, thanks.

Have to admit, if I wanted a kokanee, I would have ordered one. Very plain beer, granted it is refreshing on a hot day, but I don’t think I will be ordering it again.

Draught at Barney’s on Main St., Vancouver
Blond color. The aroma is mild, light bread and cereals. Light flavor, some honey, dry and watery mouthfeel, with low bitterness.

Sweet malty taste, served in a pint glass after BBQ dinner. Orange glow in dim lighting. Pleasant smell, not much activity on the palette.

Lighthouse’s other products are far superior than this standard, bland "premium" lager... it smells a little better than it tastes, pretty basic and boring... still a slight step up from the mass produced industrial swill produced here in Canada. Gets high drinkability marks for the Lagerboys.

Proper colour, decent clarity however too much mouthfeel for a Lager... I have heard this is brewed with ale yeast... wouldn’t that make it an ale?

A: Poured with an average-sized, white head, that diminished to about 1/2-finger size. Body is a nice golden color, and completely clear.
S: Very light aroma - some grain and cooked corn.
T: Mostly cooked corn coming through here; what I would expect from a lager. However, there is a bit of bite to it with a crisp finish.
M: Medium-bodied with a thin texture, and average-to-fizzy carbonation.
D: Sure, you can drink it, but that corn-flavor gets sickening pretty quick. Not much more than a basic Euro lager.
