Pint @ Darcy’s Pub. Not sure what the deal is, but I just can’t seem to find a "Wow!" beer in Canada. Yet another anonymous amber. Slightly sweet but mostly watery.

355ml bottle from Libations in West Vancouver. Pours a deep amber with ample off white head. Aroma is pleasant with caramel and cereal malt. Taste is crisp and decently malty, not much depth to it but for what it is I like it.
1.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20 michclark (88) - AUSTRALIA - JUN 1, 2011
Pretty horrible tasting ale. The colour of coca cola? and with a very weird bitter but sweet finish. Not a fan of this one
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Lagerboy (406) - British Columbia, CANADA - APR 8, 2011
Nice and clean, this malty, caramelly deep amber ale is easy to drink.
Could use a touch more hop for balance. Lagerboy friendly.

Nice mouthfeel, Race Rocks also holds a good head and has a nice carmel/nutty taste to it. A classic!

UPDATED: JAN 17, 2010 On tap, pours a dark amber with a thin white head. Malt on the nose, and similar taste. Nicely balanced amber ale.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Berley31 (230) - New Brunswick, CANADA - NOV 13, 2009
A: Poured with a small, white head that diminished to a thin film very quickly. Dark amber color, with a clear body.
S: Aroma is a little weak... some sweetness in the malt is coming through, which is nice, but I’m not getting much else.
T: Starts sweet, ends sweet. No real bitterness in there at all. Roasted-malt flavor in the finish. Nice.
M: Light-bodied with a creamy texture, and average carbonation.
D: May not be anything overly special, but it’s quite enjoyable, and it would be very easy to put a few back.
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 turboespresso (217) - Port Moody, British Columbia, CANADA - OCT 31, 2009
On tap. I’ve had this one several times before, finally gotten around to rating it. Dark coppery brown and clear with a small, lasting head. Aroma is dominated by yeast. Taste is yeasty and has some fruity notes as well. Body is medium light. Malt taste is on the dry side with some roasty flavour. There’s nothing wrong with this beer. It’s just boring.
