Bottle. Clear amber. Nice warm malty aroma with biscuity taste. Might be that I've been pissing hops lately, but I'm not getting too much bitterness outta this. Upfront malt. Tasty, but I was expecting more from a strong red.

Very thick, a smooth graininess (?), earthy hop qualities and a bit of "red oomph" but no alcohol detected. Very nice, another winner from Lighthouse.

Pretty good tasting beer, decent balance with a bitter finish. Would buy again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

650mL bottle, pours a hazy amber with a medium beige head. Nose brings out dry caramel biscuity malts above anything, with a low citrus hops presence. Flavourful dry, but juicy, caramel malts are upfront, along with a moderate citrus hop presence to round out the flavour profile - not a whole lot else, but for an imperial red, this is very well-balanced. No hint of the higher alcohol; rather the drinkability is very high. Good stuff.

Pours a reddish copper colour with a big foamy white head. strong sweet hop resin and grapefruit. flavour has lots of sweet caramel malts and a lot of bitterness to balance and good PNW hop presents. alcohol is hidden well.

650 ml bottle. Pours a dark clear brown with large head. Aromas of grapefruit, malt, light pine and light citrus. Nice, smooth, medium/full body.. Flavors of pine/cedar, pink grapefruit, and toasted malts. Nice artwork :-)

Brown pour with a thick tan head. Aroma is candied grapefruit, mandarin oranges, pineapple - quite appetizing. Body is smooth and full, but not heavy. Flavour is a great balance between PNW hops and tropical fruits, and mid palate some caramel sweetness. There’s a nice alcohol warmth and bitter pine on the finish. Gooooood.

Pours a chestnut brown with a tiny hint of red. Head is mocha and lasts quite well in the glass. Aroma is powerfully hoppy very piney and lush. Taste is sharp with hops but the malt back is quite perfect. Finish is lingeringly bitter with very fresh tasting hops. Another offering in Lighthouse’s big beer series that doesn’t fail to push the envelope. Excellent.

(650ml bottle) Purchased at Hillside Liquors for $6.50/ea. pours a very large, frothy off-white head atop a brown body. Nose of very bitter hops, with a leafy freshness. Very resiny pine hops biting at the front with a lasting bitterness through the finish. Good malt balance as its not overly sweet yet also isn’t thin in the palate. There is an alcoholic warmth in the end that is inviting the next sip. Very good.
