4oz draught sample. Quick dissipating head atop a very light gold. Nose is faint, some floral hops and milky base. Very mild. Little detection of hops and some lactic undertones. Not offensive but not much going on, hardly seems like a Pale Ale. Average.

Bomber. Clear amber, nice white head. I described Lighthouse’s recent anniversary ale as a pared-up Race Rocks and I think this the reverse. So you get the nice balance of berry hops/caramel on the nose combined with fruity esters in the flavour. Just not as intense as Race Rocks (didn’t think I’d ever say that). A bit watery. Good beverage accompaniment for the adulthood shimmying to early Beatles cover bands or whatever they do over there. On the internet I can be whomever I want so fyi I’m not a white dude who moved here for its pleasantness and whose idea of a good night out ends before midnight.
