3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 downy_dav69 (30) - Ladysmith, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 11, 2013
Purchased in Ladysmith, B.C. Pours a beautiful lively copper colour, with a medium sized head that lingers and leaves some lacing around the glass. Aroma is floral, pine, resin, grapefruit, hops, plums, maybe some peach..? Taste: hops, caramel malt, yeast, grass, raisins, orange peel, grapefruit, resin. Oily texture, medium lively mouthfeel. Hops weren't in your face, but certainly noticeable. Tropical flavors on the palate: grapefruit, pineapple, little bit of barley as well- little episodes of hop bitterness. Could have more on the palate life, as it died pretty quickly. This is a very well-balanced ipa- very smooth and light, but not too light. Well done, Lighthouse.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 bigaddie (66) - - MAY 22, 2013
Pours a lovely golden NW IPA color with a good head and decent lacing. The aroma is fragrantly tropical fruit based, dominated more by the papaya-like fragrance than citrus fruit like.
Undertones of citrus do come in on the taste but again it's lovely in its papaya taste with a bit of bitterness towards the end. The palate is not full by any means and to be honest, the taste is a little disappointing given the aroma and appearance.
It's decent but lacks a lingering taste and the abruptness of taste makes me want to drink another sip instead of savor the previous one.

Good IPA. Smells of super piney hops. Pours orange with great head and lacing. Finishes with some bitter grain and palate clearing mint. Far superior to their Beacon Hill. Lively carbonation. On tap at Garrick’s head.

Pours a clear amber colour with a consistent white cap on top. Aroma is sweet citrus, pine, resin, and a bready/malty backbone. Flavour is resin, grapefruit, sweet malty notes, med-high bitterness that lingers moderately without being harsh. Overall pretty smooth with a decent balance.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 RD400F (103) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 25, 2013
355ml bottle to Unibroue tulip.
Aroma: Standard IPA....various citrus, resin, piney aromas backed by lighter malts. Not much sweetness in the aroma so I’m expecting a kick in the chest bitterness.
Appearance: Transparent amber with a fluffy white head. No sediment, haze, nothing.
Taste: Bitter but not overpoweringly so, slight sourness and you can somewhat taste the malt sweetness. However it’s not up there in terms of raw complexity.
Palate: Medium mouthfeel. Bitterness all around as expected, no alcohol detectable which is good. Sour start, bitter finish. A bit low on the CO2 though I think.
Overall: Quite good but nothing exciting, however you can’t go wrong buying this!
