3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
A well-balanced NW style IPA. For my taste the ratio of bitter to aromatic to caramel/sweet is excellent for this style of IPA. It may not be the most interesting or unconventional or interesting IPA out there, but it ticks all the right boxes and I keep finding myself buying more of it!

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
This IPA poured a clear light yellow colour with a quick living head. Scents include pineapple, lemon and grass. First sip had medium carbonation with a good kick of hops. Flavours of citrus, spruce and grass could all be found. Finish was quite bitter with hop flavor lingering.

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
355ml bottle. Clear pale golden body, big white fluffy head with good retention and nice lacing. Absolutely gorgeous nose: peaches, apricot jam, marmalade, candy sugar, floral hops and a light spicy finish. Taste doesn’t disappoint either: a noble and yet not excessive piney herbal hop bitterness, a good malty backbone, lightly yeasty and spicy. Light and yet flavorful. The best from the discovery pack the LCBO was selling.

4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pourshazy gold with a small white top. Aroma is rather faint floral and pine hop. Taste is a bold in your face pine and floral bitterness. A little dank, a little sweet, all great.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Questionably fresh bottle from a questionably fresh mix-pack from the LCBO. Pours a nice clear amber with a big head. Aroma of fruit and not-so-fresh hops. Taste of malt, pine, aging hops, raisins, and booze. Still enjoyable, but I bet it would be great fresh.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
355 mL bottle, and the only decent beer in the BC Mix-6 pack from the LCBO this past summer. Pale gold-tan with a very small head. Lovely hop aroma is mostly citrus (lemon/grapefruit) and a touch of pine resin. The flavour adds some pineapple to the mix. Not as much bitterness as some. A poor man’s Sculpin, which makes this one pretty solid.

Bottle [355ml]. Pours a clear golden-orange with a large lasting fluffy white head. some lacing on the glass. Nice citrusy and piney hop aroma along with sweet malt and some fruit. Flavour is also citrusy and piney along with sweet malt, fruit and a long moderate bitter finish -- simple but quite pleasant. Medium+ bodied. Solid West Coast style IPA.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Can: Poured a deep amber color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some great lacing. Aroma of bitter and citrus hops notes is quite pleasant with some lightly sweet notes from the caramel malt. Taste is a good mix between some citrus hoppy notes with some notes of caramel malt which are sweeter then I would have liked. Body is about average for style with good carbonation. Well brewed but a tad too much caramel malt and sweet for my own taste.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
355 ml bottle from LCBO (part of BC Craft Brewers Sampler). Pours a clear orange colour with average-sized white-ish head. Aroma is solid piney hops with hints of citrus, as well as some caramel maltiness. Flavour has pretty strong pine resin, some spicy/peppery notes, subtler citric hops and slightly sweet caramel backbone. Finish has moderate bitterness. Good west coast IPA.
