danielcurtis81 (866), San Diego, California, USA Sep 26, 2009 Severed from a bottle at Phil’s BBQ. Appearance is pale gold with a small white head. The flavors and aromas are pilsner malts, and a very light hop tones. A nice pilsner. beersearcher (170), Glendale, California, USA Aug 31, 2009 Nice malty aroma. Dark yellow. Too dark for a pilsner? More like a medium lager. A little out of style. BMan1113VR (2714), Los Angeles (and Dallas), Texas, USA Aug 3, 2009 Bottle. Pours with a hazy golden body with a creamy white head. Aroma is grassy and sweet with bready notes and light banana esters. Taste is dry and grassy with light plastic notes. Light bodied and medium carbonation. Different than most Pilseners you can get in the US, and that’s a good thing. Papsoe (14593), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jul 25, 2009 On tap. Clear golden with a white head. Good malty nose. Medium body with sweet malts and flowery hops that leave a decent bitterness. Good, clean and well crafted. 070709 theisti (1631), Leawood, Kansas, USA Jul 1, 2009 Updated: Jul 2, 200922 oz bottle purchased at Holiday Wine Cellar in Escondido, California. Pour is hazed golden yellow with a frothy and lasting 2 inch pure white head. Nice sheets of lacing. Aroma of fresh bready, toasty grainy malt with some light floral earthy hops. Taste is the bready malt, though it has some earthy, almost dirty chemical edge to it which isn’t that nice. The floral hops are present, especially in the finish which has a straw grass bitterness. Very herbal. Palate is light to medium, with a long dry, even dusty, somewhat bitter finish. adrosson (9), California, USA does not count Jun 29, 2009 Updated: Aug 3, 2009tap - frothy with a good head. Deep golden color. first taste was definitely an attention grabber as it was nicely sweet. The taste mellowed as you drank it. Refreshing and clean.
from hamilton’s Ungstrup (14697), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jun 20, 2009 Draft. A golden beer with a white head. The aroma is sweet with notes of malt and caramel. The flavor is sweet malty, leading to a dry straw finish. Pawola22 (674), Kansas City, Missouri, USA Jun 18, 2009 Taster at the brewery in Poway. Pours a clear, yellow-gold body with a thin, foamy, white head that dissipates quickly and leaves a light lacing. Aroma is pils and bread malts, some straw hops, and a bit of citrus. Flavor is pretty nice. Lots of straw hops for a pils with a sweet, mellow fruitiness throughout. Bready with a touch of yeast. Finishes dry with a light straw aftertaste. Palate is light bodied and crisp. Overall, not a bad pils at all. Sweet with enough hops to balance it out.
