3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Lemons, yeast and spice in the aroma, a little different for a Pilsener. The appearance is yellow-gold. The flavor is of bread, grains, a bit earthy and slightly sweet. Not bad but not great.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Very crystal clear golden coloured body with a dense, frothy white head and millions of small bubbles rising from the bottom. Aroma of strong malt, lemons, metal and a minor hint of hops. Light to Medium-bodied; Deep pungent bitter hops and metal showing up at first with a lot of pungent tastes and perhaps a bit too strong alcohol/bitter flavours. Aftertaste shows a lot of the same with metal and malt coming through more than anything else. Overall, a strong and decent beer - pungent bitterness throughout, but seemingly coming from a permanent marker - very strong and bitter but not in a great way. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from BevMo in San Diego (Rosencrans Blvd), California on 08-February-2011 sampled at home in Washington on 23-February-2011.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at Hamilton’s. Light and awesome. Light hoppiness, with light sweetness. Bit of grassy in there. Hints of a lemony yeast. I’m suprised by the low scores.

On draft at Pizza Port Solana Beach. Poured a murky yellow golden color small head. Aroma was spicy with some hop presence. Taste was very grainy with some hops. Not too shabby.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
A: The pour is a pale golden color with a very fluffy white head on the top.
S: Spicy noble hops and lager yeast dominate the nose with the rest of the aroma being taken care of by a malty sweetness.
T: The hops in the flavor are a mix of lightly spicy and grassy (especially on the finish), with a hint of bitterness. Again, the grain and malt sweetness make up the bulk of the sensations on the palate.
M: Fairly light on the tongue with a full carbonation.
D: A decent pilsner, but the hop flavors seemed a bit off to me and degrading the drinking experience.
