Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a white head. Has a fruity malty grainy corny aroma. Sweetish malty grainy corny flavor with weak hoppy hints. Has a sweetish malty grainy finish.

Bottle from South bay Drugs. Created a fat development of foaming with a straw blonde golden color upon the eye. The nose was empty with only a small mention of hay and grass. The flavor was bitter and bold of grassy malt grains and Euro styled hops. Overall impression of this lager was that the taste resembled a marzen but that was just a hunch of mine.

This has a faint aroma. Interesting, beer is a bit sticky. Has quite a malt flavor at the beginning with a bit of hops at the end. Pretty good stuff.

If you like high-quality malt liquor, you’ll find the Ionizer ironically iconic--if a bit on the high side price-wise. Good, strong stuff with a nice balance.
Since I live just a stumble, stagger and a slide from the brewery--I’m gonna’ go to the tasting room this Friday and get a growler of the stuff, take it home and drink it til’ I forget about the pain of life. Then I’m a-gonna quaff some more--just for the sake of art!

alex again... dark gold orange, no carbonation... the aroma is terrible, solvent... the taste is even worse, don’t bother with this
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 Ungstrup (26267) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - NOV 7, 2010
Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a thin white head. The aroma has notes of alcohol, malt, and fruit. The falvor is very sweet with strong notes of malt combined with medium notes of fruits - especially peaches, that lingers into the dry finish. Thanks Dr. Bill for sharing.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 regspeir (194) - Havertown, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 9, 2010
22 oz. bottle (acquired in a trade) into a standard pint glass.
Poured a light yellow-orange with a smallish head that dissipated completely. There was little or no lacing. Nose was caramel, lemon, pale malt and corn. Taste was boozy and sweet with elements of lemon, honey, caramel, and grains. Carbonation was light and it felt thin, though sticky. WHile a bit too sweet and thin for me to drink much of this, it wasn’t awful. I admit I wasn’t expecting much here, so it is not a shock that it wasn’t as bad as I expected. Like most, a malt liquor was last tried in high school when friends wanted to get drunk and could care less why or how and certainly didn’t care about anything tasting good.

47th percentile, 99th for style tells you all you need to know. This is the best surfer in Iowa. Fizzy yellow in the glass. Nose is all lager. High yeasty sweetness. Taste is same. Big flat sweet to high round fruitiness. Can’t taste alcohol, but sure can feel it.

A: A quite golden yellow color with a rather ample white head on top. The head sticks around much longer than I would imagine for the style.
S: Sweet corn and malt dominate the nose as you would expect from a "Pre-Prohibition Lager". The sweetness gives the perception that there could be some fruit in there, but I could not identify anything in particular.
T: A very sweet beer with an almost corn syrup flavor to it. Some sweet malts as well as a hint of hop bitterness and citrus, but no real attempt at balance.
M: Despite the lager status, this has a fairly substantial body with plenty of carbonation.
D: Definitely one of the best malt liquors available. Usually I drink them for the novelty, but this wasn’t all that bad.

PPRBSG 09. Poured a hazy yellow color with an off-white head. Pine and malt aroma with a corny sweetness. The taste, well it tastes spoiled.
