Bottle courtesy of StefanSD. Tart lactic lemon and bready yeast aroma. Cloudy yellow with a small white head, poured very carefully due to the inch of heavy, chunky yeast sediment in the bottom of the bottle. Sweet lemon and bready yeasty wheat, light spice flavor with just a bare hint of tartness. Light body, moderate carbonation. Overall, not especially Berliner Weisse in style, but still pleasant and refreshing.

Bomber from Whole foods Torrance, California. Cloudy yellow pour with a massive white head. A lot of Yeast pours into the glass. Aroma of lemonade and a little funky yeast. Flavor of lemon and funk yeast. Flavor is a little subdued, but beer is refreshing.

Bomber. A solid beer for this style. Light, sour, foamy head, straw colored, cloudy. Refreshing with lots of taste.

Whole lemon, coriander underneath. Milky yellow, thin head. Dry, and lightly tart lemon flavor. Less coriander and more tartness, but far from being a berliner weiss. Much more like an unspiced or lightly spiced wit. Carbonation seems artificial. Nice but not very authentic.

Trade from StefanSD, thanks. Pours hazy yellow with a large white head. Aroma is wheat, tart, oranges. Flavor is citric, wheat. Refreshing.

(22oz bottle) opaque gold, wispy fine white bubbles. Nose of marshmallow, cedar mulch, funky, lemon, caramel. Taste of wheat, very lightly tart, lemon, marshmallow, creamy. Wel,carbonated, not horrible but not well made.

Bomber courtesy of Pete (non-RB) and to some extent GT2. Pours very hazy pale yellowish golden with a huge frothy white head that slowly dissipates while leaving lots of trace on the glass. Smell is slightly sweet, tiny sour and very phenolic with banana bread, lemon juice, plums, grapes, damp cellar, soda water, sheet metal, cloves, dry soil, white paper and plums. Taste is tiny sweet, slightly sour, fruity and phenolic with banana, lemon juice, mouldy bread, minerals, crackers, dry soil, cloves, green grapes, plums and hints of buttery wood. Mouthfeel is crisp, slightly dry, tiny tart and light bodied. Finish is slightly sour with banana bread, cloves, lemon juice, dry soil, sheet metal, buttery wood and hints of lemon zest and white pepper. Not what I expected and a disappointment considering the few Berliner Weisse I’ve tried so far.

(Bottle) Pours cloudy greenish yellow with a large, white head. The aroma holds lots of clove, incense, lemon and wheat up front with undertones of grass, vegetables, banana, pear, peach, grain, bread, damp basement and flowers. Touch of hops. The flavour is light sweet to dry, light bitter and light to medium acidic with notes of lemon, lacto, bread, light mould, wheat, some phenols and minerals. The mouthfeel is watery and tart yet tiny buttery with medium carbonation. Wheat, lemon, lacto and minerals on the finish. Light bodied.

A - Pours a very cloudy golden-yellow color with a thin finger of frothy white head. The head fades down fairly quickly leaving behind some lace. S - Aroma is a mix of wheat, lemon zest, sourness and tartness, and some funky barnyard smells. T - Starts off with a mix of wheat, sourness, tartness, and lemon zest. Through the middle, some funky barnyard flavors come through with some bubblegum yeast esters. The finish is a mix of lemon zest, wheat, sour and tart flavors, and some light funk. M - Medium-light bodied with moderate carbonation. Feels smooth with a tart and dry finish. D - Very drinkable. Nice berliner weiss. Good mix of sour and tart flavors with a nice finish.
