Bottle from Meny Oslo City enjoyed at home
Golden hazy, big beige head. Smell of hay, newly cut grass, light malts, some spices and a tiny hint of bakers yeast. Light sweet, some spicy hops and malts, quite messy for a pilsener, but i don’t mind. Moderate bitter, grassy finish. Very nice and refreshing

Bottle from Matkroken Landås, Bergen. A resurrected Norwegian brewery; this is very exciting indeed! Let’s see if they can recreate more than just old bottle designs. :-) Pours a hazy orange body with a medium, short-lived creamy white head. Nose is straw, fresh grass, pale malts and hints of red berries and bread. Taste is pale malts, bitter grassy tones, bread, hints of baker’s yeast and straw. Light body, medium carbonation. This is actually a surprisingly well-brewed pilsener in the classic Czech/German tradition; not completely true to either style but in that sense a nice take on what the classic Norwegian pilseners used to taste like. Not too many of these on the Norwegian market, so this is a welcome addition.
