Lilys Golden Pilsner

Very much like a budwesier or one of its kin. A light, bright yellow, unappealing. Little, fizzy head.

Golden? More like light yellow and unimpressive, much like its taste. Reminded me off any beer I could buy in the cooler at your local party store.

Actually called Shackleton Gold. Tried a sample of this at the brewery yesterday. Bright gold appearance, mostly clear with a big foamy white head. Smells of lightly sour hops, maybe tettnang and/or hallertauer. Opens up with a lightly grainy hops flavor mixed in with some coppery mineral flavors. High amount of carbonation, mostly dry but has some buttery sweetness on the finish. Pretty good actually, it's not amazingly flavorful, but it's not watery either.
