detroiter (957), Euphoria, Minnesota, USA Jan 21, 2007 Pours deep amber color with about an inch of creamy beige foam. Malty aroma with a hint of peat.
Smooth malty beer, with some peat but also some smokiness that tasted more like rauchmalt. Both the peat and the rauch were subtle. A little bit of tart frutiness in the aftertaste, very good. Eyedrinkale (3091), Beer Town, New York, USA Jul 2, 2005 Clear brownish red with a thick tan head and lots of lacing. Aoma is chocolate and cocoa puffs. Flavor is bittersweet chocolate but mellow. Has a nice mouthfeel and the hops are very subtle. A bit of a medicinal taste as it warms, so drink up. Brad (364), Royal Oak, Michigan, USA May 31, 2005 Draft: Transparent Ruby/amber with a fading off white head. Aromas of caramel malts, nutty, weak hops, veggies (very strange, but I think it was peas, ick). Flavor started nice with a nice blend of hops and malt, some candy notes, midway the peas returned and ruined the aftertaste. Fair Lacing.
