3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours clear blonde. Small white head. Smell is yeast, bit malty. Taste is a rather Common, bitter tripel, with a big amount of yeastyness. Too much carbo. Hints of sugar. All and all, not really an enrichment to this overpopulated beerstyle, but equaly in right of existance as all the others

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
UPDATED: JUL 8, 2015 33cl bottle@De Bierkamer, Ertvelde 09/2014. Hazy golden pour, announcing a prominence of that chalky Proef yeast... Gently expressive aroma of crowdpleasing exotics: mango, pineapple, sweeter stone fruit and that chalky yeast again. Slight fallback in taste, though offering most aroma notes in taste on well-rounded pale ale malts, sprinkled with that yeast pollen for distraction and ending on rougher fusel notes. Going by its dull label still a surprisingly tasty, if somewhat Proef-generic, small-scale beer made with new world hops and a good Old World helping of Belgian ale sturdiness. Possibly informed by Chouffe Houblon? // rerate with some age on it: Belgisn abv esters, jenever loom through, hop recedes into the body, making it a very generic BSA.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Hobby brew from Ertvelde commercialized through the ’Proef’brouwerij, with a limerick on the label. Very thick, snow white head, colour a warm peach blonde with orange hue, lightly misty. Aroma sweetish fruitiness, raspberry, pineapple, orange, dough, caramel, taste relatively dry, subdued fruitiness, grassy hops in the finish besides some warming alcohol and - unfortunately - bit of solvents.

Half of a 33cl bottle: BBD 5 Feb 15, drank in De Bierboom, Brugge on 31 Jan 14.
Light cloud to the yellow/golden body, the head a pure white blanket of foam.
This is a yeasty yet sweet fruit tasting brew, the aroma is also fruity and yeasty. A bit unbalanced but it’s different and the alcohol keeps you interested until the last drop.
OK more than magic, another strong brew from these guys who seem to churn out a new beer after new beer, month after month: this isn’t their greatest.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottled. Cloudy golden, rich head. Salty grassy nose. Fruity with light-medium body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Neutral and generic, another dull, soulless brew made at de Proef.

8/V/2012 - 33cl bottle from De Hopduvel (Gent) @ home - BB: 17/I/13 (2012-478)
Little cloudy light orange beer, big creamy white head, pretty stable, very adhesive, some chunks and smaller particles floating around. Aroma: lots of sweet ripe fruits, canned peaches on syrup, sweet mango. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: pretty sour start, nice fruity bitterness, pineapple, some passion fruits, a bit piny. Aftertaste: pretty bitter, very fruity, passion fruit, sweet peaches. I’d categorize this one as an American Pale Ale. And a good one!
