Gouverneur Blonde is a top-fermented special beer with a very characteristic, strong taste and an unparalleled fruity aftertaste. A beer that you would like to keep on flowing. Gouverneur Blonde is brewed with hop (the renowned Tettnanger hop from the South of Germany) and an extra large quantity of barley malt. Hence its golden colour, its full-bodied and malty aftertaste and an alcohol content of 6,5% by volume. Gouverneur Blonde is a beer that is brewed with love and affection. Connoisseurs know that and we have plenty of connoisseurs over here.

Nice and dry, yet fruity aftertaste. Rich in the mouth, and a very very good beer indeed.

Slightly orange, gold colored beer with a modest but firm layer of foam. Hoppy aroma with the touch of alcohol on the background. Nice full taste of hop, which moves on into a subtile bitter aftertaste. Licht oranje, goudkleurig bier met een bescheiden maar stevige kraag. Hoppig aroma met de toest van alcohol op de achtergrond. Lekkere volle smaak van hop, die overgaat in een subtiele bittere nasmaak.

300ml bottle. Cloudy golden colour, lots of chunks like a tiny dabber float motionless, with small to average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Minimally grainy and fruity aroma, notes of pear, apple, minimally grassy, dry hoppy overtones. Taste is initially minimally sweet, by and large dry grainy, strawy, papery, subtle hints of honey and pear.

The label looks a bit uninteresting, but hey, never judge a beer by its bottle. Inviting, flowery smell. Aroma of citrus fruits, some apple, hoppy. Moderate bitterness on finish. The Gouverneur Blonde is hardly special, but it’s a pleasant enough brew. I am always in the mood for a nice blonde.
