Bottle @ home. Clear amber pour, thin white head. Aroma is spicy, caramel malts, some bready yeast, ripe fruits, brown sugar and a hint of licorice. Flavor is bitter, quite sweet and a bit watery. Nice lingering finish though. Thin body, but well balanced.

The head is ok, the body darkred. It smells creamy alcoholic, very malty. The taste is maltaromatic, a bit alcoholic, a bit fruity-sweet. Overall interesting and medium. 11/10/10/9/11/10

Bottle. Dark brown color. Maltaroma with soft caramelly notes. Caramelly sweet flavor, hopped enough to show hints of grass. Just a hint of licorice. A bit sticky in the aftertaste, but overall a nice clean doppelbock.

Countbeer (2862) - Best of Eindhoven ohne Brauhaus, NETHERLANDS - NOV 24, 2012
Bottle: Medium to bigger sized, vast and slow changing/disappearing ashy light brown light tan colored head on top of an almost clear darker ruby colored beer. Smell toasted/roasted barleys, raisins, caramel, toffee, hint of liquorice wood, light light vinous note, some nuts, prunes, cherries, creamy, fruit liquor. Fine smelling beer. Taste toasted barley malts, caramel, toffee, prunes, hint of tobacco, toasted autumnal leaves, syrupy iron, creamy, bitter, toasted grass, spicy, earthy. Very well balanced and tasty. After a while, luckily, the iron is gone! Aftertaste is a mix of toasted autumnal herbs, toasted leaves, bitters, some spices, earth and malty nuts. Low carbo, soft silky mouthfeel, medium body and a creamy texture. Bit too much iron in the beginning, but furtherwise this is a fine bock beer!
