33cl bottle @ home. Clear dark red brown color, medium to full sized off-white to beige head that leaves fair lacing. Smell malts, dark malts, sugar. Taste malts, slightly dark fruits, sugar and sweetness. Medium, maybe a bit low carbonation, low to medium body.

30 cl bottle at home. Dark amber brown with a small off-white head. Medium body with moderate carbonation. Pretty sweet with some bitter tones. Brown sugar, malts, caramel, hops, herbs and spices. Not the best dubbelbock, I guess it’s its sweetness that makes it too unlikeable for me.

Bottle 30cl. Brown colour, not too dark. Red glow with a light brown head that stays. Aroma has sweets, some fruit. Taste is somewhat spicy, some bitterness. But somehow I feel it tastes a little chemical.

Heldere chocolade bruine kleur met een volle kraag. Ruikt fruitig, bitter, schoonmaak middel. Smaakt zoetig, chocolade, vanille, alcohol. Niet best.

Smells like caramel with dark berries and tastes like this too. I would almost say it’s a Gulden Draak with a more fruity taste.

Appearance: cleard dark brown beer with a small offwhite head.(1 finger) Aroma: sweet caramel and nuts and alcohol Taste: sweet caramel and a bit of roasted malts and dark fruits, finish has slighty more bitterness. and a bit of vegetable tones. A bit too thin. Thin body, average carbonation. Typical Dutch Dubbelbock beer.

Bottle from Mitra Bunnik, BB 28 Aug 2016, large sample, served in a tulip glass. Clear redbrown color, big frothy light brown head. Aroma of soft roast, autumn leaves, caramel, toffee, slight spicy yeast. Medium sweet in taste, slight bitterish, caramel. Quite sweet stuff actually, but based on clean caramelly and toffee notes. Ok-ish.

Bottle@home Appearance: clear ruby with light beige head. Aroma: grass hops. Taste: some sweet, medium bitter with roasted malt. Palate: mild, somewhat watery, medium bitter, medium CO2. Overall: taste is better than aroma, ok.
