2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
In the aroma I smell some caramel, walnuts, but mainly alcohol. The beer has a small head which is pretty dark. Color of the beer is brown and the beer is clear. A sweet taste with some bitterness and some sourness. In the aftertaste the bitter comes up more stays the longest. It’s not bad, but I experience it as watery, and that’s not what I like in dark beers.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
30cl bottle @ home. Clear dark red-brown color, pinky white long lasting head. Aroma floral, dark fruits, light cherry notes, caramel, coffee, roasty malt, slightly woody. Taste medium sweetness - just enjoyable, medium bitterness. Medium to full body, sticky texture, lively carbon, medium lasting fine bitter finish. Good quality, tasty bock, quite complex aroma.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle 300 ml, bought at the local Jan Linders. Into a snifter. ABV 7.5%
Pours a dark brown with beautiful red ruby shades where light meets it. Something less than two fingers of light brown and thick head, with average retention. Medium lacing left on the glass, along with a thin layer of foam on the surface.
Aroma of stewed fruits, sugar and molasses, hints of alcohol after some deep sniffing.
Taste is quite sweet and light alcoholic. Fruity, with red grapes, fortified wine qualities. Sugar again, quite a bit of it.
Medium thick body, as much carbo as it needs. Nice dryness on the palate and a bit sticky too.
Overall a very good bock, maybe a bit too sweet but I liked it though.
