2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Jeroenhensen (72) - NETHERLANDS - MAY 31, 2013
Niet echt bijzonder blond biertje uit Limburg. Vind de smaak wat teveel te gaan richting gewoon pils.

Bottled. Clear golden color, medium off-white head. Aroma of grassy hop, hay, slight skunky. Quite grainy malt, corn. Some soft spicyness from belgian yeast, but not even that outspoken. Soft bitter taste, only some sweetness. Bit sparkling. At least it’s not as sweet as most comparable brews.
2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 ThirstyBird (429) - Düsseldorf, GERMANY - FEB 8, 2013
Thanks Christian!
Pours a slightly hazy pale yellow with nice off white head. Smell is herbal and spicy. Taste is as it smells though a bit more mild with a dry aftertaste. Body is light and carbonation is a bit strong. Don’t love this one....
2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 MMR (283) - NETHERLANDS - DEC 9, 2012
A rather dull attempt at a special Belgian like brew. Pours an amber brown glass and is overall slightly dull and boring, not bad but far from what it pretends to be.
2.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Countbeer (2920) - Best of Eindhoven ohne Brauhaus, NETHERLANDS - NOV 2, 2012
Bottle:
Medium to bigger lively but not fast changing white head on top of a clear yellow colored beer.
Smell lot of grains, oat, corn, malts, some hops, bread, dust, hint of peach, hint of glue and a hint of plastic.
Taste is a mix of glue ish malts and plastic hops.. Some bitterness and some spices, some grains like corn and wheat with a sharper edge.
Aftertaste is is spicy bitter grainy.
Medium (to lightly fuller) carbo, spicy lively and tingly mouthfeel, medium body and a texture between watery and light creamy.
Not too well balanced and a strange smell with a bit too lively mouthfeel.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Douberd (682) - NETHERLANDS - OCT 17, 2012
Bottle of 300 ml, at home, poured into a tulip glass. ABV 5.5%. Ingredients are water, barley, hops and yeast. Bottle fermented.
Pours a pale golden yellow colour, with a huge head of three fingers in height, unfortunately froathy in texture, so it goes down really really fast, leaving but a thin line around the glass and no lacing whatsoever. Only a bit hazy and little activity in the glass.
Nice fruity and hoppy aroma. Mostly berries aromas, such as white mulberries.
Taste is bitter and quite on the hoppy side.
Medium to thick on the body, average carbonation and dry on the palate.
Very highly drinkable, the low alcohol helps on that and the price was not that high. Will keep it in mind.

A nice belgian strong. Golden in appearance with a subtle fresh aroma. A bit of banana flavor, some citrus, some alcohol, and bread. Tried with Paul in Amstelveen in May 2012.
