COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The renowned Lindeboom Lager or Pilsener is brewed with crystal-clear water from our own spring, with quality hops and with malt from selected summer-barley. Only the best two-rowed summer barley varieties are selected by our master brewer. During a carefully monitored process, in which an almost 140 years old family tradition becomes evident, the ingredients are brewed into a golden blond and sparkling refreshing lager. A lager that is highly praised for its well balanced hoptaste. Cheers!

Light blond color. Aroma of paper and honey. Medium body, a bit too long hop infusion.

Bottle: Medium vast white fluffy head, disappears slowly into a fluffy island floating on a clear yellow colored beer. Smell pils malts, barley, malts, some herbs and floral. Taste is pretty crispy, good bitter, hop and light dry bitter, floral hop tones, some light citrus, but pushed to the background because of the bitter grassy tones. Aftertaste is a mix of floral hop, bitter, light grassy mixed in a pretty crispy tone. Low carbo, soft mouthfeel, medium body and a light creamy texture. Fine beer, for it’s style.

On tap at De Hems (London, UK). Limpid golden body with average carbonation and a fading white foamy head. Fresh, well balanced, buth rather thin malty/hoppy aroma with some herbal and bready hints. Its malty/hoppy taste carries some grassy notes and ends with a short bitter/herbal finish. Boring.

50cl bottle. Pours golden with gentle bubbles and a nicely proportioned head. The nose has citrus, herbs and pale malt. The taste has more of the same, particularly herby in fact. The palate is light to medium bodied with a similarly weighted texture and a lovely clean zingy finish. Overall, a great example of a piil Pilsener.

50cl Brown bottle, best before the end of April 2011, reviewed on 8 Mar 2011. Poured into a large stemmed tulip (Hoegaarden Grand Cru badged). Lovely clear mid-golden lager/pilsner colour, on top the regular snowy white head, this one larger than normal and with some staying power. Slight hop aroma, but more grainy than hoppy, with hints of yeasts too. Dry and refreshing, but not nasty cardboard dry, this is beter than that. A hop bitterness is never far away and the malts/yeasts within the brew sit nicely to produce a well balanced beer. It isn’t exciting, but it certainly isn’t dull either. I’d say better than the mass produced Dutch Pilsners by a long way.

On Tap- Served a golden color with a decent head and bit of lacing. Mild aroma of sweetness, grainy with a hint of citrus. Flavor is a bit sweet, with some grain. Mild bitterness and a dry finish Light body, crisp and refreshing. Easy drinker. Not bad for a Dutch Pils.
