COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Venloosch Alt is a top-fermented ale, brewed from one blond and two dark varieties of malt. This amber coloured ale has a full-bodied, spicy aftertaste. When boiling, the wort is slightly spiced with citrus and coriander. In this way, after a considerable period of maturation and storage, a full-flavoured top-fermented ale is born..

Red amber beer. Tastes somewhere in between Palm and a regular pilsener. Looks don’t match with the taste.

Fazit: Interressant! caramel aromas, light brown color, clear, non lasting white head. High sweetness for this style (not dry at all). Light body and carbonation, short finish. Not a good representative of Alt beers.

Sorry for the german rating, but this is a lousy rating from my "newbie" time (2007-2009), and it’s not worth of being translated. I just added it for the statistics, and to complete my backlog!

Significant, sturdy head over a clear, copper brown body. Rich aromas with orange zest, coriander and cereal like a wit with some dark sugar and cookie dough. Taste disappoints, though, with a drinkable but straightforward light bitterness and dry yet medicinal, short finish. Nicely carbonated though. Not great but decent and accessible. (33cl bottle)

Dark amber/copper/nutty brown body, white head. Aroma of fruity malt, bock like raisins. Flavour has raisins, berries, some butter. Ok, but not my favourite.

300 ml bottle. Rotterdam, the Netherlands.
Clear amber colour with small off-white head. Sweetish dark fruits, malt and raisins in aroma. Malt, mild diacetyl, some upleasant bitterness and dark fruits in flavour. Not that inspiring.

Bottle @ home, shared with DutchDrebus. Clear light amber / golden colored beer, off white head. Little bit weird but decent smell and taste. Carbo and body ok vor a beer of 5%ABV.

Bottle. Light amber, small and fully diminishing head. Light to moderate, malty and caramel sweetish aroma, some citrus and faint spiciness. Body is light to medium, malty and lightly sweetish flavor, caramel and some spiciness, faint citrus. Finish is average, malty and lightly sweetish, some caramel and spiciness, faint citrus. Light-bodied and lightly spiced ale – nothing special.

Pretty nice colour on this one. Taste and smell are quite regular/decent/average, mouthfeel was dissapointing though. Don’t like corriander in beer a lot.

20110506 Home (30 cl bottle): A clear, medium amber beer with a off-white head. Aroma: malty (roasted), caramle, coiroander-sweetness, fruity (raisens). The taste start with some seetness with a somewhat roasted malt and caramle. In the aftertaste still some sweetness, malt and an upcoming bitterness (mainly malt). The beer becomes a little sticky. The beer is somewhat to sweet for an alt.
