Venloosch Wit (White) is a top-fermented beer with a hazy, slightly yellowish colour, brewed by a special recipe of our own, in which wheat is used as a basic ingredient, besides the usual barley malt. This refreshing beer has an alcohol content of 5% by volume. A beer for all seasons, but of course it is especially in demand in summer because of its refreshing lemon taste.

20110605 Home (30 cl bottle): A slightly cloude yeollow-coloured beer with od nic godd white head. The aroma is malty/wheat, some spicy, corinader-like sweetness and some yeast ("parfum-like"). The taste starts a little sweet, than an litter citrus-like sour and a small bitter in the aftertaste. Also some wheat and maybe coriander in the taste. A somewhat malty beer.

Tap, someplace in Amsterdam.
Pours hazy pale yellow with a small, staying, creamy, white head. Becomes a thin film. Very soft aroma, sweet wheat and a hint of lemons. Highish carbonation, okay mouthfeel. Flavour is a bit weak as well, but not bad. Light sweetness, a touch grainy with light spice and lemons. Okay, but a little too weak on all accounts.

Bottle 30 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Pours a cloudy yellow with a firm white head. Citrusy and spice aroma - not really coriander though. Medium body, dry and yeasty with accents of tea! Dry and almost astringent. A very different take on a Belgian Wit - but quite fresh. 041009
