Cloudy look something like a mix between a pale ale and unfiltered apple juice. Tartness reminiscent of Granny Smith apples which turns sweet and dry. Hard to tell you are drinking a beer with that apple taste dominating. tastes good as an apple cider but not something I’ll continue to buy as a beer.

3.5%. Light in color. The nose is very sweet, smells strongly of green apples. The taste is very sweet, up-front, and not particularly sophisticated. The palate’s a bit thin. Overall, this was interesting to try, but not really my thing.

Pleasantly surprised by this one. Green apple on the nose, with a cloudy light body which is not that appealing. However on first taste the apple flavours are subdued but then roll over into the back palate where it lingers. Drier than what I expected as well.

Aroma exactly that of a green apple Jolly Rancher candy. Pours a hazy yellow with a thick but fizzy head. Taste is tart with significant sweetness up front that dries out right away. Again flavor is reminiscent of the candy. This is not subtle apple in a lambic, this is an apple cider slam. An enjoyable beverage but challenging to call beer.

Poured onto my Lindemans glass. Smells and tastes like green apple juice. Very sweet. Alcohol is not noticeable. Tasty, but I would like more depth and character.

japi (86) - Kisvárda, HUNGARY - DEC 5, 2011
A dark golden coloured beer with a minimal white head. There are apple, sugar, yeast and malt in the aroma. The taste is sweet and little bit sour. The aftertaste is sourt with notes of hoppy bitterness. Good lambic flavours. I like it!

Bottle served in a flute. Smells and tastes of tart green apples. Very sweet, light prickly bubbles and a solid length of finish.

Clear golden pout with a foamy white head. Nose is of sour apples. Taste is as well of tart and sour apples, and is rather refreshing, light and enjoyable.

Bottle from Yamaya Kyoto. Not expecting much, but it was the only one left I hadn’t tried. Huge sweet apple nose, sugary, with just a touch of something lambic under there. Cloudy gold with a low, thick head. Sweet apple and fake lambic flavor. Not unpleasant really, but far too sweet adn sugary, with just a bit of real lambic flavor. Drinkable but cloying as hell. A bit of yogurt. Waste of lambic.

Dark golden colour, minimal head. Aroma of apple, cookies, caramelized sugar and malt. Taste is apple juice with small malty notes and bitterness in the aftertaste. Intersting lambic but not my favourite.
