UPDATED: JUN 20, 2006 Wall to wall apples, and I don’t care. Misty lime-green with overpowering aroma of ...apples. Can smell it coming a mile off. Appley beginning, middle and finish. Tastes completely unlike any ’beer’ or ’alcoholic’ drink I’ve sampled before or since, but is that a bad thing? Bramley apple-pie-and-custard nectar in a glass. Revelatory, but probably cloying after a couple of flutes. Try it and see. Perfect dessert beer. Van t’vat in Brugs Beertje.

had this at the LI beerfest. This was one of the best offerings at the merchant du vin table. Of course it was all apples, start to finish. Can’t wait for it to hit the market.

37.5 cl bottle, ’bbe’ July 07. Dark golden with a greenish shine, light haze and small white head which leaves solid lace. Strong artificial apple aroma. Very sweet taste, apple juice (’Granny Smith’), just traces of lambic. Syrupy palate with strong carbonation.

Bottle. Clouded gold with a foamy white head. Nose is strong apple. Very sweet like candy with of a touch of tartness - sugared green apples? Taste is much the same. Sweet apple, some background tartness as if green apples were added to apple juice. Bubbly and light bodied. Not much else to this during the finish - more apples and sweet sugary notes. Typical apple beer, at least of those I had. This one seemed more like carbonated apple juice, though.

(Bottle. 03/2006). Aroma: apples. Appearance: hazy, straw -- or clear, straw -- depending on how aggressively you pour it. Fast dissipating white, head. Flavor: SWEET, appley. Palate: Medium-light. Overall: not bad, just so, so, so, so sweet ... a lambic with training-wheels, definitely (lacks any of the more funky lambic aspects ... they’re probably there but just so muted by the syrupy apple aromas and tastes you’d never know).

Draught at Bishops Arms (Avenyn) Gothenburg.
Golden color and white head. Clear acid in the scent. Acid but also sweet taste, distinct apple as well. Nice to drink as a refreshment.

Bottle: Straw colored, clear, thing white head that falls quickly, spotty lacing, mild carbonation.   Sweet candyish apple, a touch Jolly Rancher.   A bit more tart on the tongue than expected, quite nice actually, very flavorful, smooth, but not as sweet as suggested by the nose (thankfully).   Moderate body and mouthfeel.   Candied apple finish.   This is beer?   It had the right amount of tartness to balance the sweetness.   I really really enjoyed this one.   Thanks mattbob for sharing!

Good snow white head on a hazy golden body. Unripe apple aroma, fresh and natural with a sour edge. Flavor is sweet when it hits the tongue with a sourish note hitting in. Apple candy and lemon. Fresh and sparkling. Better than expected.

Bottled. Hazy light yellow with minor white head. glacings. It’s got an aroma of sweet apples remainds me of "apple essence". It has a very pleasant tast. althoug it’s a bit on the sweet side.

Looks nice. A bit like apple juice but hazy. Not much head. Smells like apple juice for sure. Tastes pretty much what you would ecpect it to. Sweet. I prefer Cassis, Framboise or Faro over this.
