2.3 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 8/20
I tried this at a large beer tasting and I could smell it from about ten feet away from the table. The aroma made me remember summer camp... those apple jolly rancher sticks. Not as artificial, no, but certainly as intense. Not for the faint of fruity.

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
(Lindemans Apple) Bottle 250ml a t home, poured into a tulip glass, ABV 3.5%
Bright golden yellow colour on the body, small and thin white head, wiht good retention though, leaving light lacing on the glass.
Aroma of wheat, candy sugar, green apples.
Taste has more green apple but more like its peel rather its flesh. Wheat, sugar, perfume, moderate sweet all in all with a light sour finish.
Medium body, good, I expected it thinner, light tart on the palate, good carbonation.
Overall good, at times it tastes a bit artificial but it’s pleasantly drinkable nevertheless.

Nice refreshing apple lambic. Nice balance between sour and sweetness. Not beer but it’s not supposed to be...

I actuallly like this... It may not taste much beer but it is really good in the sun as a refreshing drink, instead of cider or white wine

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 13/20
Starting with a hard punch of apple on the nose followed by a rich golden colour with a fantastic head that leaves great leg down the glass. Crisp and sweet on the tongue with a slight sour finish. Balance is good but for it can be too sweet.

Lindemans was one of the lambic breweries which pioneered the sweetened, to some extent ’industrialized’, light fruit beers with lambic base; after sweet kriek, framboise, pêche and cassis beers, they finally came up with this apple version. Dense, light yellowish white head, orange blonde colour, clear. Aroma penetrated by lots and lots of sugary, industrial apple juice, very little lambic character remains noticeable. Very sweet, sugary taste, again reminiscent of ascorbic acid and industrial apple juice with little else; the finish is thin with mostly sugary sweetness covering a very faint hint of actual lambic. One-dimensional and much too sweet, but people who like apple juice instead of beer (let alone lambic) will surely appreciate this.

På flaska från bolaget. Mörk gul något grumlig med mycket kolsyra. Sött, syrligt och sliskigt med äppelsmak som lika gärna kunde vara överjäst saft.

2.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
330ml green bottle with a foil sealed top, label depicting apples, poured into a Tulip glass. Appearance is cloudy straw colored with a small beige head that reduced quickly, leaving no lacing. Aroma of apples and barnyard funk. Flavours of ripe sweet apples. Taste is medium sweet, light bitter and light sour. Palate is medium-light bodied, slightly sticky texture and soft carbonation. Overall a decent lambic fruit beer, and a pleasant surprise considering I disliked Lindemans Kriek. Lindemans Apple tastes of natural sweet ripe apples, but it’s too sweet, low ABV, not tart enough and lacks maltiness for me to identify it as a beer. With that said it’s drinkable, and a suitable gateway beer to cider drinkers.
