Commercial Description:
Lindemans Cassis is a lambic made from local barley, unmalted wheat, and wild yeast. After spontaneous fermentation the lambic is aged in oak. Black currants are added creating a secondary fermentation and yielding an ale of exceptional flavor and complexity.

Bottle. Pours a dark reddish color with a small pinkish white head. Fruity and slightly tart black currant aroma. Sweetish black currant flavor with some tart hints. Sweetish fruity black currant finiah.

my least favorite lindeman’s lambic, and I’m a big fan of dark berries. taste here was too acidic and bitter for my liking though.

Pours deep purple with a pink head. Nose is a bit musty and funky along with berries. The flavor is the same, with some blackberry and raspberry like tartness. Dry finish.

Dark purple pour with a pinkish head. Aroma and flavor dominated by sweet dark berries, which turn a bit sour on the finish. Not bad.

bottle; deep purple with pink head. tart raspberry and presumably black currants, delicate tickle from carbination followed by sweet malt balanced with lots of tart fruit. and finishes with a sour lingering dark berry aftertaste. surprisingly well balanced and delicate tasting lambic.

750ml corked bottle. Purple-black color, with a violet hued head. Sweet and slightly sugary, completely dominated by the natural flavor of black currants. This is pretty much paradise juice. Mild and easy drinking on one level, but completely worth savoring every sip. Excellent.

375ml bottle, pours a rich blackberry-purple with a thin pink head that quickly subsides. Smells candyish, nice heavy fruit aromas dominate, but as it warms the base lambic characteristics show up- some lactic and acetic acids. The flavor doesn’t seem as "synthetic" as does the kriek or frambose, but is a bit more natural. Still just a hair too sweet for my preference, but very good with enough acid to keep the balance leaning to the tart side. I think this is Lindemans best lambic.

Pours an opaque purpose with moderate but long lasting violet head. Super sweet aroma, very fruity. Nice flavour - bitter and sweet notes mix together well. The sweetness borders on the artificial, but otherwise is a fantastic beer.
