wickedpete (625), Lexington Park, Maryland, USA Nov 1, 2007 Dark, deep wine red. Head is fluffy and purple. Smells sour and slightly of berries. Taste is tart and syrupy sweet. Effervescent and light on the tongue. Very pleasant, especially for desert. tomthompson89 (1460), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Oct 27, 2007 red color huge and i mean huge pink head, some lacing, nice black currant type nose, slightyl sweet. flavor is similar with some good tart flavor, slightly woody sunevdj (1765), Copenhagen OE, Denmark Oct 17, 2007 Pours a clear dark red with a pink foamy head & lacings. Sweet and sour. Lots of black currants and a hint of vinegar. Medium carbonation. Medium bodied. Nice and refreshing. Berries in the finish with a hint of bacteria. Very good as a aperitif. Supermanz (6), Levittown, New York, USA does not count Oct 14, 2007 355ml cork bottle with flute at HomeGrown in Newark, DE. poured deep red/purple with a foamy pink head that lingered. Aroma was fruity with a hint of pine. Tasted very sweet, almost too sweet, strongly currant (which I enjoy). Smooth all the way down with light carbonation and a slight tart finish. My first lambic, I enjoyed it. mtoast (290), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 13, 2007 12oz Bottle, from old notes. Pours a deep purple color with light purple foam, decent retention and lacing. Aroma is sweet, obviously lots of currant, but also a curious almost spruce like aroma also. Flavor is overly sweet, almost syrupy, with some hits of whatever lambic was ruined to make this and more of the strange pine like flavor. To me it’s a damn shame, this could easily be an outstanding beer if they didn’t pasteurize it. Allthatisevil (48), alabaster, Alabama, USA Oct 3, 2007 Updated: Oct 4, 2007Great colour with nice head. It has a strong fruit flavor. A little to berry for me. fonefan (10868), VestJylland, Denmark Oct 1, 2007 Bottle. Alc. 3.5%. Clear dark red color with a average, frothy, excellent lacing, fully lasting, pink / rosa head. Aroma is light yeasty, yeastet berry’s, wood, oak, light black currant berry. Flavor is moderate sweet, light to moderate acidic with a long duration. (Berry sweet and sour) Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat, finish feel is light astringent. (240807) yespr (11649), Copenhagen O, Denmark Sep 21, 2007 25 cL bottle. Pours hazy brown/purple with a lacing off-white head. Very sweet black currants, a bit like cheap sugarish candy. Fills the room immediately when poured. Sweet sugarish berry flavour which goes into a very sharp acidity/citric finish. Black currants flavour keeps lingering far into the finish. Surprisingly clean and nice, but it only works in small quantities.
