Lindemans Cassis is a lambic made from local barley, unmalted wheat, and wild yeast. After spontaneous fermentation the lambic is aged in oak. Black currants are added creating a secondary fermentation and yielding an ale of exceptional flavor and complexity.

Opaque ruby purple hue with a large frothy pink head. Pronounced strawberry, raspberry, cherry, malt, as well as a slightly sweet and tart aroma. Mid bodied and syrupy. Excellent lambic with notes of the previously mentioned berries and a pleasant balance of tartness and sweetness with robust carbonation.

aroma: black currant aroma is prominent and can be sensed first. then some hay notes, some acidity. very nice. could not sense any malt notes, would be enjoyable to have them in the mix! appearance is dark red, clear. minimal head, reddish tint, quickly dissapears. does not re-form well. lightly sour, light sweetness.light body, slick feel, lively carbonation, short finish. overall a really nice beer, could use some work as apart from the black currant aroma everything else is very minimal. left a lasting impression though. enjoyable
