Commercial Description:
Lindemans Cassis is a lambic made from local barley, unmalted wheat, and wild yeast. After spontaneous fermentation the lambic is aged in oak. Black currants are added creating a secondary fermentation and yielding an ale of exceptional flavor and complexity.

I’m a sucker for the Lambics, and this is no exception. Not as good as the others I’ve had, but stll pretty darn good. Smells lovely, very fruity. Taste is tart, but easily drinkable. One of the few my girlfriend enjoys. :-)

Bottled(250ml). -Bloody coloured, huge pink head, fruity acidic nose. Aroma is totally dominated by black currant with pleasant sour notes. Slight sugary metallic finish. Drinkable but I had it a way too cold.

This is very nice. The dark red beer with pink foam promises a sweet drink. The aroma does have some yeast and even some barnyard weirdness. Flavor is sweet for sure, lots of sugar and fruit juice, but this is also the most sour of the Lindemans fruit lambics. It is OK for a beer to be sweet, and this is an excellent dessert beer.

Poured a deep Ruby red, with a pink foamy head.A nice black currant tartness that reminds one of the "Old Country"

Bottle from Party Source. Poured reddish black color with an average fizzy off-white head that diminished slowly with fair lacing. Moderate sweet fruity aroma. Light to medium body. Medium sweet fruit flavor with a sour finish of moderate duration. Refreshing sweet beer.

(Tap at Stockholm Beer Festival) Easily the most outrageous beer I’ve seen in my entire life. Not all that bad though, the cassis are real (albeit slighty too powerful) but the lambic beneath is too shy to make this baby fly. Bring on the funk says I..

Bottled at Pannrummet, Gothenburg. Clear, dark red with a bubbly pink head. Aroma of black-currant and some sweetness. Sweet flavor with berries and some sour notes. Quite sweet in the mouth. Medium body. A sweet, yet palate-cleansing beer, leaving that sugary-feeling on your teeth. (060825)
