| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 10, 2006 Bottle. Pours red with a fluffy and emasculatingly pink head. The aroma is very floral with noticeable black currant and some musty sourness. The flavor is somewhat sour, at least moreso than some other sweet Lindeman’s stuff. Lots of good black currant flavor which adds some sweetness, but is not overwhelming. Mildly dry, woody finish. Pretty good. PHXHOPLOVER (50), LAVEEN, Arizona, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Sep 4, 2006 Pours dark purple with a small pink head. Intense flavor of currants and berries. Very sweet, but enough sourness to balance. Becomes a little sweet and thick during the second glass. Too sweet for session, but good as a dessert wine type thing. Chicks dig it. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 3, 2006 Purplish red, pink head. Strong blackberry aroma. Flavor is blackberry and raspberry, with a slight lemony edge. Perhaps a few more acidic flavors, too. Nice, not overly sweet. molassesfan (201), Raleigh, North Carolina, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 30, 2006 Pours blood red with a thin pink head. Aroma of blackberry and blackcurrant. Taste is the same, a bit tart. Little finish but not problematic. Good for sessions if you don’t mind throwing lots of money down. bb (2905), Martinez, California, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 23, 2006 Bottle. Purplish color with a light pinkish head. Fruity (currant) and sweet aroma. Sweet, fruity, slightly tart flavor. Easy drinking. Sweet, but has decent tartness. Not bad for what it is. Enjoyable. KAME (156), California, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 19, 2006 Ordered it for a girl, but I had to taste it. It’s a very attractive beer that pours a deep opaque red with a light pink head. Much drier and less sweet than the framboise. I really enjoyed the black currants; not overwhelming, but pleasant. Slight tartness and as mentioned, makes a great desert. TomDecapolis (3149), Skippack, Pennsylvania, USA

Pours a lightly hazy ruby red with some golden orange coming through as well. Head was a lacing light pink creamy head that sustained. Aroma of black currants, some light wheat, very sweet with a hint of oak. Flavor of the same with some more of the grapes and tartness coming through. I’m a fan of the sweet Lindemans Lambics as a dessert.
