Numenor (869), Richmond, Virginia, USA Jul 5, 2006 Creamy pink head with a reddish body. Really odd aroma, fruity with some oak and anise, really not that good in my opinion. Nice taste however, heavy currants dominate, with some light grassy hops to compliment it. Tart ending. maniac (2628), Richmond, Virginia, USA Jul 5, 2006 Clear dark ruby color with a medium creamy pink head. Aroma of black currant, with some sour kick and a little funk. Sweet black currant with light sour in the end. beervana (781), Libertyville, Illinois, USA Jun 22, 2006 (05.20.06) 12 oz green bottle from Liquorama???? Poured clear purple with small pink head. Some particulates. Soft carbonation. Sour black currant with some catty aroma. Light-to-medium bodied lambic that starts with light malt sweetness and tart black currant. Finished dry with lingering tart fruit flavor. Surprising good sour lambic, not like the overly sweet Lindemans Framboise and Kriek lambics. saxo (3513), Højbjerg, Aarhus, Denmark Jun 18, 2006 Bottle. Nice big pink head with good duration. Color is dark ruby. Fresh strong aroma of blackcurrant. Taste is blackcurrant and sour like it should be. Another hit from Lindeman Frank (1064), Chicago, Illinois, USA Jun 15, 2006 Pours a surprisingly dark shade of purple w/ a big head of creamy bubbles. I really liked the nose on this--crisp, fruity and w/ a delicate edge of mint that adds a nice accent to the rest of it. Flavor is tart but w/ some sweetness, the mint accent comes across as rather strange and chaulky at this point but is not entirely unpleasant. Body is slightly heavy for a lambic w/ less carbonation than expected but it worked w/ the sweet/tart dichotomy of the beer reasonably well. Overall, I was surprised by how good this was. It’s actually a rather unusual and entertaining beer. HarmonKill-a-Brew (316), Wilmar, Arkansas, USA Jun 15, 2006 This lambic was ok.. probably better than Lindemans peach but not as good as their cherry or raspberry offerings. Not as fruity as the others... this one actually tasted somewhat like beer. Not bad at all but when I am in the mood for lambic, i will stick to the cherry and the raspberry. KUEric (632), Chevy Chase, Maryland, USA Jun 12, 2006 12 oz bottle: Pours a deep ruby to fire engine red color with no carbonation/lacing rising to the top, but a thick fluffy and stiff purplish head that folds down into layers as opposed to popping. Aroma is quite nice, just a little one sided, all berries all the time. A little in the way of flowers and not much else. The flavor is nice, a little acidic and bitter. The tastes are of berries. There is a little bit of a carbonated feel to it and a tangy aftertaste. eaglefan538 (2355), Wilmington, Delaware, USA Jun 9, 2006 I like the way Lindemann’s does their fruit lambics. This was the last of their fruits lambics for me, and I enjoyed it. The aroma was incredible, very strong berries and floral aspects. The pour was dark purple, hardly any light passing through, with a light purple-pink head that provided fantastic lacing. The flavor was much of he same with only a hint of lambic-ness underneath, balanced by some sugar to make this most drinkable. Mouthfeel was modearate with significant carbonation. My numbers are going to be higher than how much I really enjoyed this (fruit alert), but what can you do? Phenomenally greaet aroma, appearance, and flavor for the style.
