Commercial Description:
Lindemans Cassis is a lambic made from local barley, unmalted wheat, and wild yeast. After spontaneous fermentation the lambic is aged in oak. Black currants are added creating a secondary fermentation and yielding an ale of exceptional flavor and complexity.

Very dark red with a pink head, very "feminine". Aromas are sweet black currant with some musty sourness - unlike the Kriek Lambic. Flavours are sweet, then sour black currant. Quite tart - as a lambic should be. Tastes more factory than barnyard but still better than the Kriek.

purple violet squish hues with a bubbly white head of effervesence. nose cherries and black currants fruity. very tart on the palate. takes a while for the mouth to get used to , like sour tart. would be great with a chees assortment. a nice lambic but maybe slighty too tart for me.

Bottle: The aroma is awful. Smells like a musty and moldy tent that’s been packed away too long. Light cherry is mostly dominated by the musty smell. Pours a dark red with a pink head. Nice tart cherry flavor. Sour finish and aftertaste. A little mustiness is there, but not like the aroma. Aroma absolutely destroys this score.

Dark crimson with a nice pink head and lacing. Nose of barn, socks, and berries. Smooth silky texture. Nice tart berry flavors with some horse blanket background. Some sour but more sweet than sour. This is the most tart of the Lindeman fruit line (that we can get here in the USA) and it my favorate of that line up. Very nice balance but still too sweet for a lambic.

Pours reddish, purpley, pinky. Fizzy pink head. Cobweb, barnyard aroma and flavor. Taste is similar to the framboise, just a different berry. Very sweet, makes me pucker. Good stuff for something different.

Smell slight funk with musty berry skin overtones. Taste mild tartness, strong fruit flavor, not TOO too sweet, but still damn sugary. Not bad. Not great. When I need a sweet beer fix I’ll reach for some other Lindemans.
