Superb aroma and looks amazing - purple with the pinkest head ever! Very rich blackcurrant flavour (like neat Ribena), which coats the throat like a Strepsil. Very sweet, but I enjoyed it. Sugar rush! jde123 (715), Washington, Washington DC, USA

On occasion I have had the chance to enjoy the motorbike, and let me tell you, it was excitement personified. Riding the motorbike is the greatest experience on earth. I would say it’s like undiluted Ribena, but the blackcurrants in this taste faker. Amazingly overrated crap. hershiser2 (905), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 28, 2004 Deep plum colored, with a large purplish head. Lovely blackcurrant aroma. taste is of sweet, ripe, blackcurrants- like you just picked one off of a bush and popped it into your mouth. A fine lambic, though one at a time is more than emough. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Sep 26, 2004 Incredibly dark red colour, full of bubbles that cling to the side of the glass.Wonderful aroma of fresh blackcurrents and a huge mouthfull of the fruit when you drink it,a slight sour edge to it that I like.Nice fresh palate,I couldnt drink more than one,but I do like it. badgerben (3592), Blaine, Minnesota, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 25, 2004 Dark purple color with a foamy head. Berries dominate the aroma, but more of an earthy overtone than a fruity one. Good blackberry taste backed up by quite a bit of malted and raw barley. I thought it was pretty tasty, but probably a hit or miss with most people. jbrus (4844), Delft, Netherlands
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Sep 15, 2004 Strong blackberry aroma. Very dark red color, pink head, very nice lace. Blackberry syrup and sweet start. After swalling some vinegar which was the only positive authentic about it, medium body. After this one I decided to never buy a Cassis again. I hate the blackberry flavor. IndianaRed (1554), Boise, Idaho, USA

I’m not sure how black currants are supposed to taste but the aroma is wonderful. full and strong. A cross between cherries and grapes. Flavor is a terrific mix of sweet and tart. Stong carbonation, and a dry finish. Very refreshing. Delicious.
