reddish brown color, fruity aroma, refreshing.
3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Gusler (2654) - Tucson, Arizona, USA - JUL 14, 2002
Deep Purple color, the head is also redish-purple, the lace is decent. Nose is yeasty, black currants are noticeable, different to this nose. Front is sweet, the grape taste is quite evident, top thin, the finish is highly acidic, dry and quite an interesting beer, once again worth the try. Ranks #524 on my master list of beers.

I’m not a big fan off blackcurrant som my rating maybe is a bit unfair. But there’s just too much blackcurrant there.
1.5 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20 crdic (105) - California, USA - JUN 15, 2002
Not actually bad, but definitely not to my taste. I like blackcurrant tea, but blackcurrant lambic doesn’t work for me. The currant flavor is just too intense.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 MOboy (504) - Kansas City, Missouri, USA - JUN 7, 2002
probably my least favorite of the bunch. I do like black currant, but i think they went a little heavy on it. Gets worse as it warms but while it is cold it is tolerable. Too dark to really see the massive amounts of bubbles rising.
4.2 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 austinpowers (2827) - New York, New York, USA - MAY 30, 2002
Ahh, a nice balance of sweet and tart. The blackberries have real flavor and the low alcohol content makes this eminently drinkable even with the large bottle I had. A winner.

clear dark reddish colour, few head, deep fresh blackcurrants aroma with notes of vinegar, tart and sweet with some acidity, dry fruity finish - a nice aperitiv
4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 dirtymike (2016) - Manchester, New Hampshire, USA - MAY 6, 2002
I love back currants, sourness is refreshing, one of my favorite lambics.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 fraternie (754) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - APR 12, 2002
Extraordinarily complex, sour ale. Blackberry malt flavor. I don’t get in to lambics as much as some people because of the sourness, and this one isn’t as good as the Framboise anyway. Nevertheless, I can appreciate its complexity.
3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 SchlossyMcSaus (75) - San Marcos, California, USA - APR 10, 2002
Almost skunky odor upon opening. More sanguine than its kriek cousin, and in some ways, more palatable than the kriek lambic of the same producer. The tartness is tempered with its sweetness, much like a good grapefruit as it sits in the mouth then finishes with something I can only describe as mintlike. Laces up the glass well, and was enjoyable as a little desert treat for myself.
