4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Beautiful cranberry colored, slightly hazy, with a grand pink head. Nice head retention and lacing. Big currant aroma, with sour cheeses and musty canvas intermixed. A fantastic mix of sweet and sour flavors -- red grapes, black currants, and blackberries release a tartness that is quite striking. Soft, creamy, and slightly fizzy on the palate. Tart finish has defenite oak flavors. Delicious.

0.5 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 1/20
UPDATED: APR 13, 2005 This is the worst drink I have ever had in my life. I swear somebody mixed boxed wine and busch light together and stuck it in a bottle. Man up and drink some real beer.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pete's Wines, Lake Union - Seattle: Currant flavor is a little tart. Tastes great if you like tart beverages (I do!). Nice color -- looks like a dark champagne. :-)

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
A decent lambic, has a very tart taste to it. Sweet when you first sip it up then it leaves with a tart aftertaste. Way too sour for my tastes though.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Sour, grapy aroma. Pink head, ruby coloration. Very tart, sweet, just like the other lambics, just like carbinated fruit juice. Pretty good, I like the lindemans peche better, but this is good none the less.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle pours a deep ruby red color with an awsome looking pink head and lot of lace. The aroma is of currant, with a real sour bite late in the aroma, almost like yogurt in the nose, and slightly sour. The flavor is real fruity, yogurt, more tart as it progresses into the finish, and somewhat sour in the finish - sort of like a liquid SweetTart candy. The palate is crisp, refreshing, and nicely carbonated. Overall, this is not very Lambic like, but I actually like it fairly well.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Rich red color with a tinted cream head on top, a beautiful look. The aroma is mostly currants, but has a bit of cereal grain to it, and some green olive smeel to it in the background. Flavor is very tart. The first taste made my lips pucker and a tingle on my tongue. Flavos is nothing too sepcial in my opinion, its very sweet has the feel of berries in it.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Aroma of black currant of course, with a nice and sweet finish you expect from Lindemans.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
A dark violet color with a think violet red head with great lacing. Aroma was a mix of bitter currant, sweet malts, and bread like notes. Taste was both a little sweet and tart, but a little more tart than sweet. Both tastes where carried buy a pleasant maltiness to it.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
UPDATED: APR 24, 2005 Not surprisingly, pours a dark blueberry color with a touch of light reddish-tan head. Bottle conditioned. Aroma of dry currants, brown bread baking in the oven and a bitterness coming from the yeast or currant tannins. Body is medium and very heavily acidic and sour. But itís not a nice lambic kind of sour, itís a way too much cassis kind of sour. Itís like they dumped a ton of cassis peel extract in. On the finish is a bittersweet flavor that waxes quite sweet and reminds me of those gourmet fruit candies (the sugary blackberry ones). I had to fight to finish this one, and that almost NEVER happens. Better than the kriek but still vastly unbalanced. How do these people make these fruit lambics and also make the Cuvee Rene? Mind boggling. . .
Rerate I donít know why I sugar coated my numbers, well actually it was because these were the first "lambics" I ever had and couldnt compare. All fruit syrup, powerfully sweet, chalky, syrupy, cloying, simple.
