COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Lindemans Cassis is a lambic made from local barley, unmalted wheat, and wild yeast. After spontaneous fermentation the lambic is aged in oak. Black currants are added creating a secondary fermentation and yielding an ale of exceptional flavor and complexity.

Pours blood red with a thin pink head. Aroma of blackberry and blackcurrant. Taste is the same, a bit tart. Little finish but not problematic. Good for sessions if you donít mind throwing lots of money down.

Bottle. Purplish color with a light pinkish head. Fruity (currant) and sweet aroma. Sweet, fruity, slightly tart flavor. Easy drinking. Sweet, but has decent tartness. Not bad for what it is. Enjoyable.

Ordered it for a girl, but I had to taste it. Itís a very attractive beer that pours a deep opaque red with a light pink head. Much drier and less sweet than the framboise. I really enjoyed the black currants; not overwhelming, but pleasant. Slight tartness and as mentioned, makes a great desert.

UPDATED: JUN 20, 2007 Thanks to hopdog for this bottle from 2003. Pours a lightly hazy ruby red with some golden orange coming through as well. Head was a lacing light pink creamy head that sustained. Aroma of black currants, some light wheat, very sweet with a hint of oak. Flavor of the same with some more of the grapes and tartness coming through. Iím a fan of the sweet Lindemans Lambics as a dessert.

Nice tart and medium sweet lambic. Great blackberry taste with a bit of grapes and currants. Nice dry finish with lots of fruit.

Not as sweet as expected, quite tart. Nice currant flavor, easy drinking, like the tartness of this one.

Simultaneously sweet and tart. Very fruity, almost tastes like carbonated juice. But, with that lambic sourness in the background. Wheaty and crisp, balancing the sweetness of the currants. Mouth puckeringly good. Nice carbonation adds depth without overpowering. In my mind, exactly what a fruit lambic should be. Miles ahead of the peche

Tap: Sweet fruity smell. Decent mouth feel. Tasted like carbonated fruit juice. I guess I just donít have enough experiance with lambics to appreciate them.

This brew wasnít that bad, I was expecting a more sweet taste from this, but didnít get it. Light carbonation, but smooth going down, not a bad one after all.
