3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a glowing ruby with a thick full pinkish head. This has a very good lambic aroma with hints of black currants. The flavor starts sweet and finishes tart, perhaps too tart for enjoyment. The black currant flavor could also be tuned down a bit. Otherwise, quite good if you like black currants.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: MAR 27, 2007 It looks more like a blackcherry soda than a beer, with a dark purple red color, large bubbles, and almost no head, just white lacing along the edges and on top of the beer. Nose is initially delightful, sweet cherry soda. Taste is interesting ... sweet and tart blackberries, grainy wheat and malt, and lambic sourness, with a refreshing sourness along with the sweet fruit at the end. And yet, it really does not taste like beer. My wife, who hates all beer, actually liked this. Nice, full-bodied feel in the mouth, with great bubbly tingle. All of that sounds great, and yet the over-all rating is one of the lower ratings I have given a beer. I simply could not figure out what I would do with a second bottle, ever! The sweetness rules out using it as an aperitif and rules out serving it with food. Despite the refreshing lambic sourness, the cloying sweetness rules out using it as a thirst quencher; like a sweet cherry coke, if you drank this you would simply need a couple of glasses of water afterwards to clear your mouth. Nothing about it seemed artificial or medicinal; it seemed just like berries added to lambic. But I could not figure out a use for it. Maybe if I had another I would just give it to someone who hates beer but loves cherry soda? // just change the over all. what was I thinking?

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Dark purple color. Medium head. Aroma is fruity and berryish. Kind of sweet and grapelike at the start yields to some tartness at the finish. Very carbonated, if not for the malts and the tartness at the finish I would think I was drinking a soda pop. Probably the least beer like of the 3 fruit Lindeman’s Lambics. Light and refreshing. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean. Aftertaste is tart and slightly sweet.

Currants in the nose and taste for sure. Reminded me of a cough drop my mom used to buy for me when I was little. Very sweet - too sweet at times, leaving it artificial and medicinal.

1/1/03: bottle. stunning light purlpe pour with a nice frothy head that quickly diminishes to a thin white line of carbonation. some lacing. rosè wine colour. interesting smell, hints of peat and of old dirty fermented grapes. this beer provides a lot of activity for your taste buds. the grape tastes include a little bit of sweet, and a lot of sour, with some tartness. it makes my mouth water, leaving a great after taste.

I had this Lambic once at HookahVille. It was pretty tasty and refreshing. This maroon colored brew was sweet and had more bite than the framboise.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Very fruity, herb nose, almost "minty". Lavender hue. Pinkish rocky head. Very sour, tons of fruit, blackberry, currant. Light footed, tons of carbonation, sourness, sticky and terribly sweet. Very drinkable, the possibilities for this beer are endless.

This beer was a medim red amber color with a small white head that left a little lace. It had a nice aroma of currents and little bit of malt. The flavor was of currents and slightly of malt. The finish was tangy with current elements. This one tends to be a touch sour as opposed to the framboise. I like currents and was hoping that it would hold up as well as the framboise, but the sour aspect hurt it some.
