I rather like this one. Opens with a nice, lightly sweet currant smell. Pours dark brownish red, with a thin, slightly clotty pinkish foam. Nice taste of currant jelly, followed by those notes of oak or cork, a growing sense of tartness. Also catch some barnyard funk. This one is not too complex, but there is a fine balance. I’m really getting to like this style, and the Lindemans brews have been a nice gateway for me. alexanderj (2227), Chino Hills, California, USA

Aroma of yeast, black currents and a hint of lemon. Flavor was a bit sweet with a slight hint of sour. Dark currant, generic berry and some sugariness. scrizzz (1265), kirkland, Washington, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Jan 5, 2009 Plum colored, frothy pink head. Raspberry blueberry aroma, some lemon juice tartness. Syrup forward, takes away from any deep character. Not my thing, though I’m sure many people are introduced into eclectic beer from this approachable interpretation of the style. kiefdog (1586), Tampa, Florida, USA

Pours a dark red violet color with a one finger frothy pinkish-purple head that settles slowly and heavily laces the glass. Aroma is black raspberry, pepper, assorted ripe wild berries, and hints of malty sweetness. Flavor is much the same of the nose--ripe berry fruit flavors with some peppery malt notes and hints of honey and sugar. A medium body tart lambic with a sweet berry finish. Aroma is musty, sweet and sour with just a touch of astringent blueberry skin. Tastes very sweet, purple concord grapes and a lingering cassis finish. Good carbonation and a somewhat creamy body. A fun, easy-drinking lambic. ghawener (953), San Salvador, El Salvador

Considerd a 4 for apperence couse its nice to look at and looks different, but the content of 25percent cassis juice makes the apperence quite obvious.
Lots of berries in aroma, apperence and flavour. Thirst quenching.
