My favorite of the Lindemanís lambics. Itís not as fruity (itís currant, duh!) and has a little bit of a pine aroma and taste (itís currant, duh!). Funny thing is: I donít like currants.

2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle at home. Aroma of heavy blackcurrant, sugar, cassis. Flavour is sugary sweet and medium sour. Drinkable, but a shame about the added sugary sweetness.

250ml bottle. Murky dark purple colour with small, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Sweet-ish, fruity and slightly spicy black currant aroma, hints of tartness and leafy spciness of corresponding shrubs and parings. Taste is sweet-and-sour fruity, black currant notes, sherbet character, a sugary touch. Nice.

Pours purple opaque colour with pinky creamy head. Aroma of caramel, bilberry. Similar is flavor: Sugary sweet with sourish dry / sweet finish.
Good for hot summer days, but this is not true lambic-Fruit.

37.5cl bottle. Hazy purplish red colour with a thin pinkish head. Berries, acid, barnyard and citrus aroma. Average carbonation and medium body. Taste is tart at first but balanced by the berries and fruity notes. Sweet finish. Overall, a bit sweet but nice beer.

2.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
This beer spreads immediately a wonderful aroma of ripe black currant. The taste is slightly sour and palate is blackcurrant. Furthermore, the mouth feeling like a sparkling wine and itís definitely a lambic with large format. It is a real gem as determined suitable as an aperitif on a hot summer day.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draught @ ÷lrepubliken. Pours hazy purplish red with a big frothy and creamy purplish pinkish white head that slowly dissipates while leaving lots of sticky trace on the glass. Smell is fruity with wheat crackers, black currants, lemon juice, hay, barnyard, minerals and lemon peal. Taste is sweet, slightly sour, heavy fruity and tiny earthy. Mouthfeel is round, tart, tiny berry skin astringent and light to medium bodied. Finish is slightly sweet and sour with wheat crackers, black currants, lemon juice, hay, dry soil, iron and lemon peal. Black currant lemonade in every sense of the words. I love black currants but this is far from both lambic and beer. Tasty fruity drink on a hot summer day though and the appearance is quite amazing.
