Lindemans Cassis is a lambic made from local barley, unmalted wheat, and wild yeast. After spontaneous fermentation the lambic is aged in oak. Black currants are added creating a secondary fermentation and yielding an ale of exceptional flavor and complexity.

Great desert beer but not too sweet like some of the other fruit lambics. Best enjoyed in the fall.

Bottle/draught. Dark red/purple in colour, purple head. Aroma and taste of blackcurrant, moderately sweet with light tartness. Medium body, quite oily texture, soft carbonation and sweet-tart finish. Really nice even though it is sweetened there is light sour note. Definitely the best from sweetened Lindemans lambics.

Lane. Aromat domowego soku z czarnej porzeczki. Dość słodkie, trochę kwaśne. Słodycz za bardzo dominuje.

I bought this bottle in Paris and we drank it these last days at home. It is an interesting beer. First, the color is a deep pink color, relatively high carbonation, sourness, malt, cassis juice. It is important, in my opinion, to drink it cold.

Keg @ Six North Opening Night. Pours red, bright dark red almost purple, thinish pink head. Nose is black current a touch sour on the nose as well, it smells like diluting juice and then it just smells of more black currents. Taste is as the nose but a bit more sour, i loved it.

Dark red with low pink head. I was afraid that will smell like cat piss but gives nice not so strong blackcurrant juice aroma. It’s not so sweet like raspberry or cherry Lindemans lambics wich is definitely good thing. Very refreshing

250ml bottle. Pours a deep purple with no head and noticeable fizziness. Aroma is all blackcurrants, with some herb I really can’t pinpoint. It’s very fizzy in the mouth (playful is I believe my standard word in these situations) and the flavour is big blackcurrant but those bubbles bring a nice amount of sourness which explode in the mouth. Really beautifully put together. I think the average of this suffers from the fact it doesn’t really taste at all like a beer, but it’s a really nice beverage. My rating would be higher if I liked blackcurrants more...

Not my tullip of beer. Blackcurrant, herbs, earthy. Violet-red, clear body, minimal, pink head. Lightly sweet and bitter, heavy sour. Light bodied, thin feel. Fizzy, with long finish.
