Nice black currant flavor, reminds me of a soda. These are especially good as a break between heavy duty beers. mustang3 (254), Whitby, Canada

Great purple colour with a thin white head. The aroma is solid black currants, but fresh. The flavour is all fruit and sweet, but with a refreshing tartness. The fairly high carbonation also helps to offset the sweetness. jgentgesdo (564), Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA

Flavor is initial intense sourness, currant, and creamy malt. There is a powerful base of earthy, woody lambic flavor. Creamy mouthfeel. Lingering sour finish... makes my mouth water. Good. beervana (781), Libertyville, Illinois, USA

Some particulates. Soft carbonation. Sour black currant with some catty aroma. Light-to-medium bodied lambic that starts with light malt sweetness and tart black currant. Finished dry with lingering tart fruit flavor. Surprising good sour lambic, not like the overly sweet Lindemans Framboise and Kriek lambics. GreatLibations (1470), Last Supper, Arizona, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Jan 21, 2008 Pours blackish royal purple w/ a full, creamy froth. The color of the head is a beautiful pinkish puple color and it just sits there stubborn as all getout. Brisk yet mild aromas of sweet, waxy cassis fruit. Full nectar w/ ample residual effers creating a fiberousy soft and expansive texture. This brew is luscious and chewy. When I poured it I knew I was in for a treat. Big, sweet and meaty cassis fruit all balanced by a fresh, briskly tart acidity. This brew is a mouthfull of gobstopper decadence but has a strong oak presence. The finish is long w/ lingering sweetarts and oak. chicagobears (336), Elk Grove Village, Illinois, USA

Aroma of berries, grapes, and fermenting yeast. The flavor surprised me a bit cause it wasn’t all fruit like the other Lindemans I’ve sampled. Besides the sweet currants their is a back line of acidity, woodiness, and lambic yeast character. beerBB (132), Harleysville, Pennsylvania, USA

Fuity, a little too sweet to drink too many. Great after a meal or anywhere you’d think of drinking a dessert wine. reakt (939), Greater London, England

Deep purple with a light mauve head. That typical lambic aroma with notes of black currant; reminds me of red wine. Sweet and sour at the same time. Syrupy palate gives it a full mouth feel. Full of berry goodness. If you like black currant you’ll enjoy this.
