Commercial Description:
Lindemans Cassis is a lambic made from local barley, unmalted wheat, and wild yeast. After spontaneous fermentation the lambic is aged in oak. Black currants are added creating a secondary fermentation and yielding an ale of exceptional flavor and complexity.

355ml corked & capped bottle. Dark reddish purple pour with a pinkish purple head. Big currant nose, some mild sourness is noted, kinda wheaty. big, sweet currant flavor, juicy with a mild sourness late - kinda like red grape juice. A touch of wood in there somewhere. Excellent lace and head retention. Decent carbonation keeps this from coming off sticky. I dug this a lot, but then I really like currants....

Bottle. Nice big pink head with good duration. Color is dark ruby. Fresh strong aroma of blackcurrant. Taste is blackcurrant and sour like it should be. Another hit from Lindeman

Great nose, very fruity, can really pick up the fruit and dark berry smell. Taste is sweet, with a decent sour after bite. Good good fruit beer.

Pours a dark red with pinkish-red head. Aroma is all currant and the flavor matches. Very similar to what you’d expect from blending a bunch of currants and then drinking the results. Tasty!

Bottle. Very good stuff. Looks and pours like red wine, except for the pink foam that stays for the whole drinking time. Tastes like Lindemans Kriek on tap, which is great. The aroma is different berries, but better than many krieks because the beer can be felt. The taste is a bit sour, but with a fantastic palate. No words can describe, just try it.

A little too sweet but not bad overall. Color is dark hazy purple. Sweet heavy raspberry taste (I don’t know what currants taste like).

750ml bottle. Pours a clear and bright ruby red with a full pinkish/lavender head -- a very striking and unique looking beer! Aroma is sweet and tart, with a strong cherry scent complemented by hints of yeast, wood, and other less distinct fruity tones. Taste is medium-bodied and smooth, with a tart flavor of cherry and black currant along with slight hints of woodiness and earthiness on the finish. A wonderful sipping beer that would make for a fine dessert.
