Aug 30, 2003 Nice purple colorsmall white head that faded fast.The aroma was hard to describe since i don't know what a currant is i won't get to involved with the aroma other then to say that it is unique.The flavor was much the same being a bit grape like at the middle and i just can't explain the beginning flavor,Very tart slightly sweet and the after taste is tart and that currant taste i guess.It certainly is a unique brew and very good but i guess i prefer framboise a little more for the flavor.Well worth trying.

Apr 11, 2007 Bottle. Dark purple beer with a light head. The aroma is dulled berry fruits and the flavour is nicely sweet, fruity and quite tart. Overall a nice drink.

Dec 28, 2003 Dark purple in colour with a pink head. Aroma of blackcurrents, blueberries, blackberries and some plum. Flavour had some tartness, not overly sour, blackcurrents, grapes and some sweetness. Finish is a surgary sweetness.

Dec 14, 2005 Very fruity aroma....If I hadn’t read that it was currants, I wouldn’t be able to place it :)
Dark purple hint to the brown body, with a light pink foamy head. The taste is very very bitter, bordering on sour. There is little to no hoppy flavo, the fruity taset starts as the finish starts. Pretty good.

Aug 13, 2007 The bottle said 3.5 rather than 4 per cent. Poured with a massive head that took up three quarters of the glass. Dark purple and a lot different from my usual beer. A bit like Ribena with alcohol. Different and refreshing.

Nov 16, 2002 Another introduction to lambics for my girlfriend. Already pushed the other Lindemans on her and thought she was ready for the Cassis. Poured dark purple with good head. The black currants stand out and add to the "medicine" flavor so many raters mention. Girlfriend enjoyed it but not my style. Give me a big belgian with a high ABV and none of this sissie stuff!

Jun 14, 2003 Draft: Deep purple ruby colour. Good flavours of black cherries and black current. Nice on the palatte, with just the right amount of tartness. Not quite on the same level as the framboise - but still nice.
