Bottle 370 ml 3.5%. Age roughly 1 year piror to tasting. Poured deep dark ruby with an averaged sized, loose, rocky, purple head which was mostly diminishing. Aroma was of Ribena (blackcurrant concentrate) with great forest floor notes, plum juice, port wine jelly and light yeasty/barnyard notes. Flavor was of acidic fruit with sour red grape skins, tart blackberries, blackcurrant juice, wild berry yogurt, port wine jelly and light musty notes. Light to medium bodied with lively carbonation, a dry tart mouthfeel, lightly syrupy texture and a good length finish. Extremely complex yet refreshing.

Draught @ Ölrepubliken. Pours hazy purplish red with a big frothy and creamy purplish pinkish white head that slowly dissipates while leaving lots of sticky trace on the glass. Smell is fruity with wheat crackers, black currants, lemon juice, hay, barnyard, minerals and lemon peal. Taste is sweet, slightly sour, heavy fruity and tiny earthy. Mouthfeel is round, tart, tiny berry skin astringent and light to medium bodied. Finish is slightly sweet and sour with wheat crackers, black currants, lemon juice, hay, dry soil, iron and lemon peal. Black currant lemonade in every sense of the words. I love black currants but this is far from both lambic and beer. Tasty fruity drink on a hot summer day though and the appearance is quite amazing.

W smaku podobnie, przypomina lekko nagazowany dość słodki sok z czarnych porzeczek z dodatkiem cytryny i piwa Faro.

Sour, fruity (never had a black currant, so I don’t know what they taste like), with some heavy funk as well.

37.5 cl bottle, Best before 21 Jan 2016. Dark burgundy colour with a creamy, dull, cherry tinge head which reduced to a ring but left tremendous lacing. Aroma of black currants, white wine and some mustiness. Low / medium tartness and low/medium sweetness. Medium body, sticky texture, spritzy and a lingering, yet pleasant, tart finish. Very nice. 8.
