Lindemans Cassis is a lambic made from local barley, unmalted wheat, and wild yeast. After spontaneous fermentation the lambic is aged in oak. Black currants are added creating a secondary fermentation and yielding an ale of exceptional flavor and complexity.

Bomber in nh from case and keg. Reddish purple pour, fizzy head. Raspberry, grape aroma. Standard fruitiness for this brewery. Currants, grape followed by tart, fruity highly carbonated finish.

Bottle from Belgian Beer Factory. Pours deep purple with pini head. Nose and taste are strong blackcurrant, light wheat and yeast, tart and cery sweet. It is a nice drink but not maybe a real lambic and it is very sweet indeed.

15.09.2015, 0,375l bottle @ home:
Nice light purple creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly fresh fruity, black currants, grass, berry skin, minerals, old cellar, weeds. Taste is sour-ish sweet fruity, black currants, soda powder, sorrel, berry skin, sugar, grass. Slightly dry and fresh mouthfeel, but with kind of a metallic aftertaste. Very nice for the low ABV.

Bottle at home. Aroma of heavy blackcurrant, sugar, cassis. Flavour is sugary sweet and medium sour. Drinkable, but a shame about the added sugary sweetness.

250ml bottle. Murky dark purple colour with small, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Sweet-ish, fruity and slightly spicy black currant aroma, hints of tartness and leafy spciness of corresponding shrubs and parings. Taste is sweet-and-sour fruity, black currant notes, sherbet character, a sugary touch. Nice.

Pours purple opaque colour with pinky creamy head. Aroma of caramel, bilberry. Similar is flavor: Sugary sweet with sourish dry / sweet finish. Good for hot summer days, but this is not true lambic-Fruit.
